I don't think they're really counting votes and I'll tell you why:
I recommended this song via e-mail after my initial complaint about the way they handled this entire thing. My rep said she'd put it on the list of songs to consider or whatever it is they're doing. I just don't remember seeing it get any buzz really on social media. So I think after getting 95% RRP2, they arbitrarily picked the songs they think would work. (Remember they used SNA at the fanfest too.)
And I believe the Sens (?) had SNA as their goal song. Either way I don't care. We are good at making things our own. It was fun to watch that develop from nothing to something pretty cool.

Ehh I wouldn't get to tinfoil hat over it. They obviously were throwing RNR2 votes out but this is a popular song. I wouldn't be surprised if it legit won. More then a few people on here wanted it. Hell we even had the zubrus style house version in this thread. Wasn't this reddits choice too? I thought i remember pushing this as one of their songs.
I definitely think the sens used it at one point.
It's a catchy song. Obviously easy to get a crowd into. I'd prefer something totally unique though so I'm willing to see what else comes down the pipeline.
One thing proved is our crowd can have fun with a new goal song that isn't hot garbage.
Also the entire road trip was Bon Jovi's fault.

Not sarcastic man. I know the isles used it for Pps and the Sens used the techno version but no team has really gotten behind it. Its used a lot in college and what not but in terms of the NHL no one has really made it "their song" I think we can...

Unfortunately, they seem hellbent on ignoring popularity.
RRP2 is insanely popular. SNA was very well-received last night. I don't think anything they play will do better than those two songs.

Look around the league. Nothin heavy will ever be picked. It has to be borderline pop.
This is certainly more like a goal song than Light em up or Howl. Running with the Devil is a great idea but the actually practicality of the son doesn't work. No one is chanting "running with the devil."
I would be interested in seeing how the custom song works or maybe something like Beer. But a lot of the suggestions just are not "arena songs" in my opinion.

I noticed they finally changed the playlist at the arena that is played during games
It was the same stuff for 3-4 years every game
Nice to hear a ton of classic rock with little to no of the newer garbage that is out today
