Gustaffson 1 good season. 2 but mainly because Carlsson got hurt which gave him way more ice time in ideal situations to Klingberg who has had many good seasons is probably the reason why.

Gustaffsson cant produce offense on a bad team without top minutes and a strong PP

Klinberg on a dog shit team is still good for 0.5ppg

Gustaffson got his pts on the Caps where he played PP1 with OV and the other caps forwards. He isnt a giy ti play there but with Carlson being injured he was played up their team.

In 2020 he had 29 pts in 66 games on the hawks and flames - 2 shit offensive teams

In 2021 he had 10 pts in 29 games on the flyers and habs - two shit offensive teams with bad PPs

In 2022 he had 18 pts in 59 game on a shit hawks team with little offense

Gustaffson likely has <20 pts next year vs > 40 for klinberg

Abruzesse looked lost, McMann was a warm body, Holmberg looked good then tailed off dramatically. They weren’t serious options, I loved what we did at the deadline.
I don't mind what we did at the deadline either, but right away we were hearing that guys like O'Rielly would go back to St Louis and weren't sure about Acciari and then Schenn was getting a raise so ever since then some believed we gave up everything we did for rentals so a deep push was a must and that didn't happen. Abruzesse played 2 games. McMann 10. Not exactly gonna be looking too comfortable being new players on a team later in the season and not getting too many minutes. I'd much rather the more physical skilled guys but if you are relying on getting these types of players during FA you are overpaying for them and we can't afford to do that too much until the cap raises.

We did? Our farm system is full of tweeners, I think it's pretty f***ing clear this team needs more than another 2 3rd/4th line scrubs to fill a void.
Yeah a lot of people did

Holmberg, Abruzesse and Mcmann are the main 3 that people want to help with depth scoring. Can they? Possibly. Our depth scoring isn't gonna be fixed during FA until the cap raises quite a bit so we need draft picks to step in and help out.
Abruzesse is the best out of the bunch , very smart player . I think he’s a sleeper pick to have a real good season next years

Knies-Matthews-Nylander
x-Tavares-Marner
Robertson-Kampf-Jarnkrok
Lafferty-Holmberg-Reaves

Rielly-Brodie
McCabe-Klingberg
Gio-Liljegren

Murray
Woll

That bottom 6 is actually disgusting. Leafs got worse in every way.

Holmberg could be a decent 4th liner. Abruzesse wasn‘t a complete waste of space as he has decent hockey sense. McMann can skate at an NHL level. All of them are 4th line capable for 8 minutes a game.

Yes and all 3 would be my big targets on forward.

Problem is we currently don’t have the room to make many serious runs at guys. Unless there is a move we have cooking.

Part of it depends on a Murray trade. If they can move him 100% the Leafs potentially could spend upwards of 6.7 mil on a player, even with a Sammy extension, which could likely cover a guy like Bertuzzi.

Whether or not that happens....

Guys there was little risk taken my Tre today you need to chill. One one year deal and one basically league min cap hit

Other gms made far worse decisions today including the old guy giving 5 x 6 to an average goalie and the old old guy giving 7 years to Pierre freaking Engvall with a ntc

Let the off-season play out it’s 7 hours in

Nothing exciting there, but sure for cheap it’s what we will have to do. Holmberg has some upside, Abruzesse isn’t an NHLer, that seemed pretty obvious and McMann is a warm body I suppose. There’s a million guys who can fill out a roster, none of them look better than an ZAR to me and he was useless in the playoffs.

I wonder what Klingberg 50% retained at the deadline when we’re seller’s could fetch. Hopefully he can be somewhat productive to cash in on

That’s an easy 3rd round pick, biggest win of the summer AINEC.

Need defence? Bring in Klingberg.
Need secondary scoring? Re-sign Kampf and let everyone else walk.

Smart.

Besides Rielly who on teh Leafs was bringing in offense?

Lily sure is capable of doing it but the JOKE of a coach that Keefe is always messes with Lily

He just signed Tristan Jarry to a 5 year 5.75 deal. Hes' not doing any better
Pens fans are absolutely livid

LOVE IT!!!

McMann cannot keep up to nhl pace. I don’t see him as anything other than a depth piece I’m more hopefully on Abruzesse

wtf is bertuzzi looking for? I guess red wings said thanks but no thanks to him and offered the money to compher
Bertuzzi is very injury prone and has had back issues in the past. My guess he wants 6 to 7 years if he can get it.
