I actually like the Klingberg signing. I wish it were a 2/3 year deal instead. We needed a puck moving offensive defenceman and Klingberg provides that.

With Rielly and Klingberg we’re set offensively from the blueline. Now we have to fix the defensive physical side of it.

Leafs were always going to be worse this year. The core 4 make to much, we dont have many young ELC talent and the team doesnt have much cap space.

Going 1 year route is at least not crippling for long term

This is why I said it may be a pre-cursor to a Liljegren deal. Treliving likes a bigger, stronger defense core, and we don’t have it. I can see some deals to come on the back end
