He played on the ducks one of the worst teams ever defensively as well

He was ~0.5ppg on the ducks.

The leafs are a better defensive team similar to the wild where he had decent stint.

We will likely be getting a 40-50 pt #4D for next year at 4.15M.

The biggest benefit is hes a 1 year deal. No L/T committment from our end.

He will add offensive and puck moving from the back end whicb we have little of outside of 44

We arent falling into the UFA trap like other teams for D. Klingberg likely rehabiliates his value here and gives us decent enough play as a 4D
