He's staying. Oil would be crazy... but they have Holland.

I don’t disagree, but then Nylander is a very talented guy. You don’t obtain such a player without giving up something of solid value that hurts.

I agree. I have always liked Willie. Much more than AM and MM.
Willie is probably the most talented of the 3. MM is the engine, AM is the big man although soft with a killer shot. Willie's shot is pretty lethal too, he just needs to be more of a focal point. He's almost an after thought with TO. Keefe is an idiot in his usage.

Geekie is not the kind of player we need to add.

He is a simple strong right-handed centermen that could play on the fourth line and rotate between Holmberg as he gets his reps. Kind of like what acciari was supposed to do

He is very overrated right now and the Oilers found a place for him on their power play but it doesn't change the fact that he is kind of an offensive first guy that has questionable marbles on his own side of center. People bitch about Riley now Riley would look like a Matthias Nordstrom if we had Bouchard

I like a Bouchard++ base from the Oilers and a Batherson++ deal from the Senators. That's the closest starting asset they can table that would be similar to Vilardi in the Dubois trade. A good player, that could be a star or remain a good player who is no longer on an ELC and will demand a cap commitment + a couple quality replaceable assets for a player with a significant track record of star level play.

I could also see a Nurse or Debrincat straight up.

With Detroit it would be a futures based deal. They don't have a mid-20's player of interest as a center piece. But, they have a lot of recent high picks and future high draft picks.

If nylander is asking for 10-11 mill a year then we are screwed. No team will want him and wont trade for him. And we cant afford him either. So he will walk to free agency
