Arniel was all-time bad as a NHL coach based on several interviews on podcasts I've listened to with his players in CBJ. Players don't respect him at all and he loses his mind unprofessionally.
I'm fine with Lowry then.

How about Travis Green? Apparently he is well respected in the industry because reasons. Actually, having a former Vezina winner there is kinda convenient, having had all of his success on the backs of otherworldly goaltending.

Bump because Jay Woodcroft is off the board.

Still like Dan Bylsma or Rikard Grönborg as options.

Well we have to see if Stastny is even brought back first but I'd love to use him at 3C.
yup, probably to late for that now, what a waste. I wonder what it take for our media to even ask the question why it wasn't tried with out lack of bottom six production

Larry David for Jets headcoach. Leon Black and Suzie Green as the assistant coaches.

Grönborg, sure.

Not a a Dapper Dan man myself.

I think I elaborated earlier in this thread why I came around to Bylsma. As a starting point the guy coached some massively talented rosters that had very lacking defense cores. Flipping pucks out of the defensive zone isn't an acceptable play in his playbook as I understand it. Publicly he sounds pretty progressive about analytics and how to optimize strategy. From what I've gotten from very shallow research is that players who are less detail oriented don't like playing for him all that much so guys like Chiarot who'd rather be anywhere but practice likely won't be a fit.
Two apparent reasons for why he eventually got fired in Buffalo were that he apparently wasn't personable enough with the players, spending too much time going over video and not actually getting to know the individuals, and that he apparently had the unreasonable expectation of players showing up on time.

I think he's similar to Boudreau in a lot of ways.
