Apparently some NIL collective’s around the country are begging for some type of uniformed regulation at this point because they’re failing to make all these payments to players.

It’s kind of stupid that anyone with a functioning brain knows where the college football is headed. We know it’s headed towards a downsized pro model league setup with uniformed rules & everything. The charade is over, college football isn’t the same as women’s volleyball. We need to stop acting like they’re the same & the rules/setup make the same sense for both. But we’re like straggling the line seemingly waiting for this decision to make itself.

I get some people hate the way college football is headed & I don’t necessarily disagree but the reality is there’s no headed back from what’s to come & delaying things while still being pulled in both directions isn’t a solution either.
Shocker, there's not much ROI on a 6-7 figure investment on a 18–20-year-old kid that wears a helmet on TV. I've been saying it for a while that the market will likely correct the payments soon enough, but the extent that rich boosters will go to while playing fantasy football knows no bounds, I guess.

They’ve essentially raided the SEC for a starting defense next year.

They’re favorited to land Walter Nolan too.

This gotta be an expensive haul for Ole Miss. They’re picking off good potential NFL starters from opposing SEC teams.

Granted a lot of the SEC that’s not at the top of conference (Georgia, Alabama, Texas, etc.) is really in flux right now & Ole Miss is seemingly taking advantage of that.

Helton recruits that didn’t work out on the field. Lots of plays but on an unproductive defense.

They were Riley recruits. Jackson is a second year player & Curtis is a first year player this year.

Jackson is already commanding attention from the big programs around the country & I’d imagine Curtis might as well.

They came to SC after Riley was hired but they were recruited by Helton. Neither one showed that they were capable of playing at P5 level when given a chance. The new defensive staff needs better players than these

Curtis was a 2023 recruit & Jackson was a 2022 recruit. They both committed when Riley was the coach. Helton was out of the picture by then & practically the whole country recruited both of these players out of his school given they were both highly rated so that doesn’t really mean much that Helton recruited them at some point.

Jackson already has teams like Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, etc. after him. That kid is likely transferring up not down.

Lol, Curtis was part of Riley's second cycle. Not sure what Helton has to do with that one.

They surprisingly got back freshmen OL Chase Bisontis who’s all the way from New Jersey. He apparently had pretty much the whole country after him. Rumor is his NIL deal with Texas A&M has some type of clause in it that blindsided him & his family when they were looking to leave. I don’t know it’s like a payback clause or something to that effect.

Ohio State would have 1 DL signee if this happens. They seemingly have nothing in the pipeline with the transfer portal right now either.

They’re getting crushed because their DL coach is like a 100 years old.

This is the one that’s terrifying to me because he’s broadly accepted as the best DL coach in the country and the school is obviously on Tier 1.

I think eventually you get to an age & kids more so start buying it. Opposing schools have been using it against him/them for a while now but eventually it’s gonna happen when you have a coach who’s in his 70’s.

They just lost a top 50 player in WR Jeremiah McClellan to Oregon. Not sure if the #1 player in the country WR Jeremiah Smith is gonna sign either. So they’re having a real rough signing day.

Talked with some OSU alums and boosters on Monday night. There's an uneasy feeling about things in Columbus including rumors that Day may be gone after the bowl game. There is a contingent that wants to hire Hartline as the HC.
