Get rid of 4 team playoff. Best two teams only.

If it expanded and If you can't take care of those games and you're the 'better team' then boo ****ing hoo. The Patriots were the 'better team' in 2007 as undefeated going into the Super Bowl and lost to the wild card Giants.

I thought this game would be closer with Michigan covering. Didn't think we'd get all those points from Georgia.

Albama/Cincinnati was about what I expected. Alabama being Alabama, and Cincinnati not doing worse than anyone else would have.

Yes, yes, so much yes. Sorry Cap. The only value of the playoff is to allow two teams from the same conference to play each other for a NC as they’re the two best teams.

It’s likely going to be 8+ teams soon.

The sport frankly needs Saban to retire more than anything imo.

It’s going to be so so awful.

They’re going to win those games. It’s a waste of time and it’s just bowl games that we already have repackaged and lowers the importance of the regular season. You’re tired of seeing Alabama in the playoff? What better way to make sure that doesn’t happen then adding more spots so if they have an even more off year they get in anyway and then spank teams on their way to another championship.

There aren’t nearly enough competitive teams in College Football for an expanded playoff. Historically these semifinal games have been AWFUL.

As a Georgia fan, I was pretty confident about this one once the annoyance of the SEC Championship game wore off. That was just a bad matchup for Michigan, especially for their offense. There's not a team in the country that's going to successfully bully ball Georgia's defense. They shut down the run, tackle well in the intermediate passing game, and get after the QB in a bunch of different ways. You have to beat them vertically like Alabama did a couple of weeks ago and Michigan did a couple of times last night. Michigan probably would have matched up better against Alabama.

Yup, the last thing you want is Alabama getting second chances if you're tired of seeing them in every national championship. An 8 team format would all but guarantee that Bama, Georgia, and Ohio State would haven annual auto-bids at the start of the season. At least with a four team format, Bama either has to run the table in the regular season or win an SEC Championship to get in.

When Kirk played at Ohio State his head coach wasn’t making multi-millions every year. ESPN & other media entities weren’t pumping billions of dollars into the college football industry. The players caught up on the fact that this is a major business. ESPN & other media companies play a big part in creating that.

It sucks from an entertainment standpoint no doubt but I can’t really fault players with something to potentially lose on the line. Another impact is the information we know now compared to back then on the injuries that football causes is different.

I think it’s fine on this one to have a middling take. That it sucks for college football but at the same I can’t really blame/fault the players.
