It’s probably less so Riley and more so the players can now go to the highest bidder.

The world we live in now with the NIL.

There were/are rumors that Georgia has a multi-million dollar NIL deal on the table for Williams & is considered the favorite but their 247 guy tweeted this.

Williams dad said it’s not about NIL but rather where they feel he can develop best for the NFL. That was their goal even going back to his recruitment & why he picked Riley. Other factors didn’t really seem to be as big even then.

Riley is single handily dismantling OU. I don't ever remember a coaching change leading to this many transfers

It was a perfect wave really with the open transfer rule. Most of those guys are from out of region so there’s no real local sentiment to Oklahoma. On the offensive side of the ball they all followed Riley with hopes of playing in his offense & getting to the NFL.

Harbaugh going back right as Fangio shakes free would be very, very smart.

Yeah, the UGA guys I follow don't seem to think this is happening at all. Williams is talented enough that NFL development can make him more money than the NIL differences between the bigger schools anyway. It's not like he's going to transfer to Vandy.

What is the connection with Fangio, or rather how would the dominoes line up?

He was DC under Harbaugh at Stanford and with the 49ers. I’m assuming he’s losing his HC job in Denver, which would free him up to follow Harbaugh again.

But more to the point, the NFL is going more and more toward Fangio-style defenses every year. Brandon Staley coached under Fangio. So did Joe Barry (GB DC) and Sean Desai (CHI DC). Those are the guys getting HC buzz.

I see, thank you kindly.

The window for Harbaugh to go back to the NFL looked closed last year but if he’s interested, he needs to take it now. I guess the question is which one is the connection? Chicago? Vegas?
