The bowl is called the "Duke's Mayo bowl" and I have seen broadcasters dipping oreos into mayonaisse and apparently there is a huge gatorade-tub size thing of mayo that will be dumped on the winning coach.

As much as it has turned into playoffs or bust, I don't wonder what some of these obviously non-medical opt-outs are thinking. The bowl experience for theses teams can be a once in a lifetime moment.

This is what baffles me. For years and years I know VT seniors motivated lowers by telling them the wonders and fun of a bowl trip.

Alabama has done this to a lot of teams in the past. The Bearcats kept it competitive unlike Ohio State and Notre Dame in past years

I wouldn’t really call that game competitive. They didn’t get blown out on the scoreboard by like 30+ points or whatever. But they never threatened Alabama at any point during that game. Cincinnati was basically holding on for most of the first half before Alabama got that late TD & never looked back.

They deserved to be there based on what they did before today though, can’t take that away from them.
