Had the injury been almost anything else (not getting hit by a garbage truck) then I'd still be open to KD

But achilles tears are about as devastating as it gets. Especially when you start creeping into your 30s.

Somehow the Lakers accumulated way better assets however. They are favorites for AD trade and everyone and their mothers know Pelinka/Magic era was a disaster.

We had KP, Melo, and a way better roster and somehow have no assets to trade for AD.

Truly mind-boggling why/how/wtf the Knicks were not able to embrace the tank in years they finished with 4,7,8,9 picks. I honestly don't know what ownership was thinking those years besides a stupid insistence on pride over foresight.

Can’t even process what this all means for the off-season, next year, and the Warriors dynasty.

Whatever else happens, and wherever they wind up, hope both he and KD recover to 100%.

Older Paul and potential Capela trade will ensure they won't IMO.

Clips could be the sleeper for the title next season.

They have the following guys under contract for next year:

Lou Will
Gallinari
Harrell
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Shamet

They have 50m in cap space. If they bring Kawhi and a tier 2 guy, they could be deadly.

Or they could trade Gallinari and go 2 max.

Thank you Phil Jackson. Unreal how much he screwed the team. While getting KD will help turn this around, the Knicks have a few years before they can recover from this still.
