Little over two minutes left and Toronto has ball, lead and golden state gassed and the Raptors coach calls a timeout. Turning point. Since then I think 9-0 run warriors

Whoever called that timeout should never be allowed to come back to Toronto if the Raptors lose this series

Man we thought the Mets were cursed. If its torn the Knicks are truly cursed. He will not be the same player if he tore it.

Think it becomes even more likely the Knicks get him. He could sit out the next season and the Knicks don't have to trade for AD. Let the kids continue to develop and go into next offseason with another high pick, lots of money and Kevin Durant.

Durant’s injury was always an Achilles. Warriors either allowed Durant to play / or they pushed him to play to save their season, knowing the Achilles was already hurt. Of course their GM is crying on national TV, he’s the one that ok’d it

Durant has a 32 million dollar option is his contract, there’s almost no way he goes to FA this summer

He’s going to be out all next season. Why go FA when you can just stay in GS to heal and have the chance to win another title? (even though he wouldn’t be contributing)

Him going down pretty much kills the chance the Knicks do anything significant.

Agree with others. Now KD stays with Warriors. Knicks youth movement just got extended another 2-3 years.

On the other hand, without a dog in the fight, this finals is so much more interesting than I expected.

And I too believe KD's injury was achilles related all along.

Kinda kills the please like my sport hockey meme that fans throw out, no?

Chara plays with a broken jaw, Durant won’t play with a bum calf!

I was pulling for the Raptors but after the imbecilic reaction to Durant's injury I started rooting for Karma for those idiots who cheered.

Lmao what a turn of events for the Knicks.

Imagine, if you will, that Hughes had suffered a severe injury at the WC. Would completely alter the foreseeable future of the team. Difference is that 1 star in the NBA is like 40% of your team. This injury absolutely gutted the well laid plans.

This is that bad for the Knicks. Completely alters their plans and trajectory. Now let’s see if they panic and abandon the youth movement without that huge carrot...

Kevon Looney playing with a broken collarbone should have done it. The fact that he's pushing to play Game 6 as well.

Jeremy Roenick's comment was yet another pigheaded doofus take from an insufferably insecure sport fandom.

It's not worth getting him. 32 when he'll be back next year and will no longer be the effective MVP player. Look at how much of a joke Boogie Cousins became after tearing his Achilles.

The Warriors have once again ruined the NBA.

I'm not sure what to think of the Knicks. But it's easy to see they would've been better off tanking for Doncic the year before. Now, it will be another 5+ years before playoffs.

If you're not gonna give 140mil to KD, might as well give that to Masai Ujiri. He will build you a conference final team in 3-4 years.

Most players that are rehabbing during the summer off a big injury are not the same that first season. It is the 2nd season, when they have a summer to train and get ready for a season where you see what you can have.

Is it a gamble to bet on KD being an MVP type player again? Sure it is, but the Knicks are in a position as a franchise where if they take that gamble, I do not think it hurts them that much. So long as they do not complicate that with other signings.

I'm for signing KD and getting nobody else this offseason. Let the kids play. Let them develop and find out more about RJ Barrett, Dennis Smith Jr, Knox, Robinson, Trier, etc. You let KD rehab the who year and train in the summer for the 2020-21 season. We could jump into getting another big free agent then. They'll have assets they can move or just straight sign a top free agent.

KD also knows he is done for next year at this point. He could then spend the year rehabbing an recruiting for the following season.

Not if they need to give him a max contract long term. It's just way too risky.
