OT: NBA Discussion Thread: Part V

Because of this, the Lakers informed Kyrie's camp that they cannot make a commitment to him until later this upcoming week, and thus he's decided to sign with the Nets. The Lakers backup plan at this point is centered around D'Angelo Russell, as their priority beyond Kawhi is a point guard.
Lots to be optimistic about, but the Raptors are still a very real threat. As long as the Lakers execute their plan properly, they should have this in the bag. They've pretty much gone all in here, but it's not over yet.
 
This free agent stuff is a lot more entertaining than the Knicks.

Actually, as someone who dislikes the 3 point shot, dunking and the constant ignoring or travelling (it started with Michael Jordan as great as he was), the free agency stuff is the best thing about the NBA.

I do hope the Knicks get KD and Leonard only to shut up those know-it-all gasbags in the media who are always laughing at the Knicks.

I'd rather see a young team with our draft picks develop, though.
 
so is this like when he yesterday said that KD and kwahi were gonna sign together on the knicks or clippers? or is this one like for reals for reals?

I have no clue why any non self-loathing athlete would willingly play for James Dolan's Knicks.

This pretty much confirms nothing will change until Dolan sells the team.

The Knicks are having a rough last couple of years. Missed out on KD. Missed out on Zion via the lottery. Missed out on Lebron (twice!) and just about every other free agent target of late. Says a lot about the environment created by Dolan and co.

Got scraps for Melo, drafted Ntilikina, traded Porzingis for 'cap space', didn't trade Kanter at deadline, didn't tank for Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr contract, etc.

If RJ Barrett doesn't have a rookie DWade type impact, I fear for his safety.
