KP getting introduced to the NBA and what it takes by Melo was the start of the problem and Puff-Puff-Phil put the nail in the coffin being his douch-ey arrogant self. No humility from KP didn't help either, but that's more of a societal/generational issue than specific to him.

I don't disagree with a lot of the criticism, but this is the direction it needs to go. They're finally rebuilding and people are *****ing and moaning, KP included. The only way to go in this league is cut cap space for a max contract, and suck to get high picks. You can turn it around quick if you're smart about it.

you're also spending subsequent posts raving about Dennis Smith and calling the whole Knicks roster garbage. Ain't much of a difference between DSJ, Mudiay and Trier, fella. Hate to break it to you.
This will be interesting to monitor now that they're all on the same team...

If they’re protected, they just get moved to the next year.
This is not true. They often convey into 2nds after a period of time, and I'm pretty sure they've straight disappeared after several years.

I don't see why anyone cares about a guy who can't stay healthy. Kinda shocked that I'm the only one who thinks this is actually a good move. There's literally no one of his size who has ever come back from ACL surgery. I have no hope that he'll all of a sudden become a consistent healthy, productive player.

Seems to me like a smart move overall. Besides the health, guy and his brother were just drama queens. I gave it a lot of leeway because that's the NBA these days, but still, I'd rather not have an organization held hostage by a guy who hasn't even managed to get on the court this year.

People will look to blame the Knicks for anything.

There are people taking this mouth malcontent side cause the Knicks dare to build through the draft and try to get the highest pick. (This regime has treated him well. You even had Fizdale flying over to Europe to spend time with him.)
Mind you, something that most were wanting for to happen for 15 years.

Two years ago, they went out and spent cap space (not wisely) on Noah, Lee, Rose etc... to help him out.
Didn't have their 2016 pick, so they couldn't do it that way. He's hurt this year. So they tanked. People are funny...

From being utterly devastated at the time of the news, to hours later searching up when the next game is. This is worse than crack.

I can't just switch teams.

can't trade 1st rounders in consecutive years and this year's pick they owe to ATL

Janis trying to run the team.

There were concerns about giving Porzingis a full max contract because of his injury, league sources told Yahoo Sports, and there were concerns off the floor.
The Knicks were worried about Porzingis’ brother, Janis, who’s been more involved in Kristaps’ affairs and wanted to make demands to the front office about acquiring certain players, sources told Yahoo Sports. When the front office pushed back, the doubts about Porzingis having a future in New York came into play.
