Also, glad to see Beal go. DC teams are bad at “know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em”, so this is the result. Better than carrying that albatross of a contract. Excited to see a total tear down.

Thank the lawd. Now trade CP3 to a contender and Shamet to whoever and sign and trade Kuzma and KP and they’re good.

Lol at anyone blaming the GM. He just got rid of one of the two or three worst contracts in the NBA. If there’s anyone to blame it’s Ted. He has no idea how the NBA works and his mandate to sign Beal set this team back at least half a decade.

Bullets are going to have to do the tear it down rebuild the old school style not like with a bunch of assets that were like done with OKC.

Well the return was terrible but thats the price you pay to get out from that terrible contract. Better than just buying him out for nothing. Now the rebuild can really happen

Next up is flip cp3 to someone

Actually, Windy this morning was saying that he expects teams to dump their bad contracts on the Zards for picks, like they did with OKC.

So basically they’ll be the Yotes of the NBA for a little while - hopefully they’ll get some extra 1sts out of it.

Damn I liked Goodwin but rebuild is rebuild. Saw nothing from Todd in about all of his brief playing time.

I was completely fine letting Beal walk instead of resigning him so the return teeth gnashing I kinda don't get.

NBA draft in a couple of days. Really all over the place looking at the mock drafts. I am admittedly weighting the PG position so Wallace/Black seem appealing.

Yeah I’m here with you. Don’t care if they gave him away for free. They already missed the boat when it came to trading him for a real return and the worst option moving forward would have been to keep Beal on the team.

If you own all the 2nd round picks, you're definitely going to be the organization that finds the next Jokic, right?

In all seriousness, I hope they keep all of them and draft a bunch of international players. Potentially hitting on one is more valuable than trading them for cash.

What a great dude. Like... just... contract/career/whatever you want to say aside, what an awesome professional hockey player to be able to say is one of ours. Legitimate peak, yeah, maybe you want it to go a little different overall but to win it all, be a multi-year stud and not just a flash in the pan, and then also be a stellar human (whose wife seems to similarly rule all on her own) and that's my guy right there.

Yeah, I love KP, but if they can't get actual good draft capital, I'm in.

That said, neither one of those teams has 1st rounders other than their own, and that's not particularly exciting.
