I mean that 2020 team had rondo, and Dwight Howard playing all star level maybe for the last time of their careers.
Dwight Howard only started seven games in the playoffs for them that run and averaged 15 minutes a game. He wasn't a big factor. The big difference that season was they surrounded LeBron and AD with solid rotational and support players like Rondo, Kyle Kuzma, Alex Caruso, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Danny Green, and Markief Morris.
After that season it's been a masterclass in how to tear down a championship roster and get nothing in return. They traded Kuzma and KCP for the corpse of Russell Westbrook. Caruso left as a free agent. Danny Green was traded for Dennis Shroeder (another solid depth player) who they then let walk for nothing after one season. Markieff Morris also left for nothing.
All of this is after they traded a haul of three good young players and three first round picks for Anthony Davis which helped get them that ring in 2020 but they've failed miserably at putting real talent around LeBron and AD since that season.

Mohr’s weight loss secret apparently was significant amounts of adderall over 20+ years, which he finally got clean from over the last year or two so…

Still watching this game but definitely looks like the gave up before the game started. Feels like the worst game of the season so far.
I'm hate watching this mainly to enjoy how terrible Kispert is at defense. Like he actually tries but is legit terribad. If I was a serious troll would put together a supercut video after the season was over. He does these dump anticipatory defensive jumps to spots when it was unnecessary and the opposing player just rolls to the basket for an easy bucket.

Lots of us have ADHD. I’m still in pretty good shape at 53 and don’t have drugs (or a “specialist life”) to keep me honest.
Update the best part of of this blow out as TJ Oshie getting camera time several times. Plus Zach Leonsis let TJ Oshie+family sit in the owner's court side seats for the 4th quarter.
He wasn’t using it as treatment for ADHD. He was abusing it. He says this himself. He was addicted and taking copious amounts daily for 20+ years.

So…..what? Many of us are addicts. It’s not a license to excuse other parts of our lives.
Mohr allowed himself to go to seed. That’s fine, it’s doesn’t much matter long term.
But saying “he can go to seed because adderral!!!” is bunk.

I think you might be being a bit too much of an idealist here.
I certainly haven’t done this myself but my understanding is if you take a ton of speed on a regular basis one of the ‘benefits’ is you can basically eat whatever you want.
And when you get off the speed, what I’m hearing from you is you should get off the food also. Which ideally you are right about. But I think getting off a drug you have been abusing for 20+ years is hard and trying to get off food at the same time almost certainly makes that harder.
So yeah if this was my loved one going through this I believe I could be accepting of weight gain while getting off a long history of speed. We can tackle the weight part later after you put plenty of distance between you and the speed. Especially since the straightest line between a former speed addict and weight loss is simply going to be getting back on speed.
Does that make me an apologist? I guess but I believe it also makes me a realist.
I haven’t checked recently but there was no news of any moves when the 3:00pm deadline hit. I guess you can count selling Rui for spare change a deadline move?
A purgatory of mediocrity, year after year. A franchise not even worth paying attention to. They’re going to have $100M tied up to Kuzma, Beal, and KP next year and they still won’t be one of the top ten teams in the East.

I bet Kuzma says no thanks on his player option….or they will extend him for stupid $…..
He’s already said he’s going to opt out because he knows he is going to get paid. They’ll have to overpay to keep him and they will because Ted doesn’t know how to own a basketball team and doesn’t understand that in basketball if you’re going to be mediocre or bad you should just be really bad for a few seasons because one or two lottery picks can set you up for years to come.
Ted proudly states that he refuses to tank and thinks it’s for the fans when in reality most fans want them to tank so they’re not irrelevant like they are now.

Also why were we not even looking at Wiseman? He got traded for a bunch of 2nds to save the luxury tax bc his rookie contract is high. He was a top prospect in the draft and barley has been given a chance.
