This again. The Wizards were winning in the mid 2010s when, what do you know, they tanked and got great young players in Wall and Beal. And then they added good players to that in Otto, Nene, Gortat, Paul Pierce, etc. Wall got hurt a few times and it ruined everything but they followed the blueprint that, *checks notes*, most of the league follows in order to field a competitive team and lo and behold, it worked.

Cleveland and Milwaukee are two of the top five teams in the East right now. I guess Cleveland is just a more desirable location for free agents than DC? The top five teams in the West are Denver, Memphis, Sacramento, New Orleans, and Dallas. Those huge markets must be able to spend more on free agents than small market teams I guess.

I'm not saying this team can ever win a championship but there's no reason they can't be good, other than Ted not allowing it to happen.
That broken hand in the playoffs is a definitely what if.

Decent win tonight starting off their five game roadie. Kuzma 1 of 2 to put them ahead with 5 seconds. Wright with the steel to end it. Got to keep that guy for next year.

You would have to ask him lol….not saying in this instance, just overall.

I love this bad blood. Can’t wait to see more stuff like this.

Ok what has Rory done to be on the same level as Reed, who has a long history as the black hat all the way back to college, including multiple cheating allegations, various other conflicts with other players, and now the various lawsuits?

Lol….put away your bone little doggie….your position on Reed is well known. I think Rory is a smug A-hole…just my opinion. They both can be jerks irrespective of each other.

Not much different than Tiger was accused of during his run of terror thru golf. Smug and not friendly.

Rory isn’t at Tigers level of accomplishment, but he’s definitely top 5 player the last 10yrs. You could easily argue Johnson, Spieth, Koepka due to majors, so…..

No denying the talent…..

Why the insults?

Rory is not known as a jerk by anyone in the business.

I’m in no way insulting you….come on. you can hate Reed, you're within your rights. I dislike how Rory has carried himself.

Maybe he insists upon himself?

Wizards unbeaten without Rui and one of the "hottest" teams in the league. Will see if they come down to earth.

Deni has come alive also with Rui being traded. Nice to see some road wins they are generally rare if you suffer through watching that 'zards' in general.

Once Valanciunas got ejected with a flagrant 2 elbow to Gibson Gafford actually really started impacting the game.

They’re going to make the play-in which triggers giving the Knicks their first round pick this year and then lose in the play-in because that’s the worst possible outcome.
It’s top 14 protected. Only bottom 10 don’t make the play in. So they would need to actually win their play ins, make the final 8, to lose the pick this year

"If you ain't a top 10 player, I don't know who you are... I'm not watching the Bullets or the Wizards,” Shaq said on Inside the NBA broadcast on Tuesday.

As a result, Nets star Kevin Durant called the “Diesel” out, saying “Shaquille doesn’t know ball. While Durant is no stranger to spicy exchanges on social media, Shaq delivered an epic response to his tweet that went beyond the game played on the hardwood.

“i don’t kno ball, but i kno how to brush my hair,or decide to cut it when i was going bald. love always THE BUS DRIVER,” Shaq tweeted.

lol….

The Wiz with their first win in San Antonio since 1999. 22 games.
Love they showed the lineups for the last time they won. Mitch Richmond and Rod Strickland were in the lineup.

Deni still showing the momentum with a career high of 25 points. Over 50% from three and from two. KP returns dominant in the 1st quarter.
