Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy served subpoenas over PGA Tour players-only meeting — USA TODAY
Larry Klayman, who filed lawsuits on behalf of Patrick Reed, wants to bring Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy to court to testify about players-only meeting.apple.news
This seems suspect. If they're independent contractors holding a contractor-only meeting then how is that relevant to an anti-trust case against the Tour itself? No Tour rep was even present.
Imagine being an employee of a big box retailer and having a workers or union meeting to discuss improving work conditions so they're closer to other retailers, and then having lawyers for the other retailers suing to find out what you talked about in your private meeting.
Preposterous.
If I'm Woods or McIlroy I'm having my lawyers fight the subpoena.
Seems like corporate espionage rather than a real legal complaint.
