Kelly is a gigantic jerk but he wins games

Think he has lsu on the right path but won't really complain if he fails. One of the least likable coaches in the college game.

Yes....

The first two changes are somewhat self-explanatory. As tested in the minors this season, the shift rule would require four infielders to have their feet on the dirt, with two fielders on each side of second base, as the pitch is delivered. As tested in the minors — though hardly visible from the stands — bases will grow from 15 inches square to 18 inches square.

As for the pitch clock, the specifics of the rule on which the committee will vote Friday were not immediately available. But in Class AAA this season, pitchers were allotted 19 seconds to deliver a pitch with a runner on base, 15 seconds without. If they failed to deliver the ball in that time, the umpire called a ball. Pitchers could step off the rubber (or, as the new baseball jargon will say it, “disengage from the rubber”) no more than twice per at-bat. If they stepped off a third time, they were called for a balk — unless they recorded an out by doing so. In other words, a third pickoff attempt is permitted as long as it works.

Apparently the changes shortened games in the minor leagues by 29 minutes in 2022.

It was a terrific match. Sucks he couldn’t pull it out but that other kid was phenomenal.
What a match indeed…..breaking back and forth like mad…..next gen tennis on display there.

I still can’t help but think that Djokovic would be beating these guys for another title…what a bozo.

Just my opinion - but there’s apparently an ample supply of moronic multi-millionaire professional golfers who believe the Saudis can make life better for them and their families. You have to be pretty f***ing ignorant of how they operate to think that, and Allah help you if you don’t understand that they think they own you. Just ask Khashoggi how it turns out to think otherwise. And the golf product they’re offering sucks.

Does that mean the PGA doesn’t need some fresh thinking? No it surely does not. This FedEx playoff thingy is just ridiculous. Why not have a Match Play Tour Championship featuring the top 64 or top 128 players, like the US Amateur. Tons more drama and story lines. Instead you have this silly thing where the Tour Championship starts out with someone 10 under without playing a shot.

Notwithstanding how stale and out of touch the PGA hierarchy is, it still baffles me that there are people suggesting that the Saudis are trying to do something for golf. The Saudis don’t do anything unless it’s for the monarchy, and the cynicism behind the lie that they’re just trying to “grow the game” is just gross.

The racist undertones are undeniable.

Like American money is so pure and clean…. It’s not like this country was founded on the backs of slaves or that just “minor genocide” of the native population.

It’s funny how people that live in glass houses like to cast rocks on to others and pretend to be the good guy without a lick of self awareness.

Yeah he’s the bozo. The fact that our government is insisting people get a shot that literally nobody believes is in any way effective to come here is what exactly…?

The rules? It is what it is. As a fan of his, it‘s disappointing he chooses to remove himself.

“The challenge is just going from a team that doesn’t care about anything because they know they don’t go anywhere to a team that has a really good chance to win the World Series,” Soto said, as quoted by Acee. “That changes everything from one day to another.”

While a harsh assessment of his former club, Soto spoke at different points this season about the pressure he put on himself trying to carry a struggling Nationals offense as the losses piled up. During his introductory press conference with the Padres, he shared that “to go from a team that has no chance to come all the way here, it's a great feeling.”

can’t wait to see the guy on Tour….

His follow through is different on every damn shot he makes. I've never seen anything like that even on the worst muni course. No idea how he makes it work consistently.

He's pretty standard on the backswing...more "on plane" with the club than I am per the "modern swing"...but he has such a big drop and compression move involving his right side and spine angle he almost has to move the left hip and leg to deal with the force and get them out of the way while keeping some kind of balance. Then the right foot shoots out in response, and the swordsman flourish at the end is just style points.

Like a drunken Shaolin Arnie style.

Pumped for Ravens vs Dolphins game. Will be interesting to see if the fins pull that cover zero shenanigans again. Ravens didn’t have an answer for it last time.

Oddly enough I'm more confident in the football commanders than the Ravens today. MIA might exploit that decimated BAL secondary. If Hill takes the top off enough and the safeties sag then TT could scramble all day.

Recording both games.
