And then there was XanderI like Billy right now….he looks in the zone.
Of the current top 10; Burns, Horschel, JT, Rosie would be who I’m pulling for in order…
And then there was Xander
Also looking for another Olympic gold medal.Pretty amazing year for him….2 final round 65’s to win 2 majors in a year…
It’s early but I think they’re going to regret passing on Reed Sheppard, who went 3OA to the Rockets and made the First Team. If you didn’t know Sarr was a second overall pick, watching him this summer you’d have thought he was an undrafted kid playing for a two-way contract as a defensive specialist. In the minutes I saw he was awful on the offensive side of the floor… I’m talking Johnny Davis-levels of bad. He’s super young and hasn’t come close to maturing physically so there’s still hope but that was a very disappointing summer for him.
In more positive news, their other two first round picks looked like players and Bub made the Second Team. Kid just turned 19 this week too.

Shades of Bronny Jr come to my head.
I love a no hitter no matter who throws it…We go No hit. Good job boys...
Stuart, 24, has a 3.98 ERA in 17 starts and 84 innings at Double-A Binghamton. The Mets drafted him in the sixth round in 2022. He impressed in 2023 with a 2.20 ERA in 110 2/3 innings across Double A and High A (where he had most of his success). Stuart was not widely viewed as a top prospect for the Mets, but The Athletic’s Keith Law before the season wrote, “He’s got a 55 slider and average fastball velocity without a lot of life, doing it with command and some deception but probably not projecting beyond a fifth starter/swingman role.”
17-0. Nats with only 4 hits.Corbin w/ 11 ER's .........and it's still the 3rd inning
Talk about riding out a contract. Not sure what it says by the current ownership not to even buy him out.Tired of Corbin’s shit…
Ok, so I was writing out a comment about how it made no sense that they didn't DFA him immediately after the deadline and give one of their AAA guys a shot, but I just checked and holy shit the pitching in Rochester is horrendous. The top four starters in Rochester are Thaddeus Ward (19 starts, 6.00 ERA), Jackson Rutledge (18 starts, 7.31 ERA), Spenser Watkins (17 starts, 4.76 ERA, age 31 so not really a prospect anyway), and Joan Adon (13 starts, 5.40 ERA). All but Rutledge have K rates below 20%, and all but Watkins have BB rates above 10%. There's just nothing at AAA to bring up to replace Corbin. Maaaaaaybe Brad Lord (6 starts, 3.82 ERA, 22.6 K%, 5.3 BB%) but he was just called up to AAA a month ago and has all of 30 IP there. I guess we just have to hope that when (if?) Trevor Williams ever comes back that we'll finally see the last of Corbin.Talk about riding out a contract. Not sure what it says by the current ownership not to even buy him out.
