O's batters were just so bad with men on base and not patient try to work pitching counts when behind in the count vs pitchers.

These things were their biggest strengths in the reg season, and probably went away due to lack of playoff experience because it started sometime after they clinched. The bats went cold as a result and you have to hit like crazy to keep up with a team like Texas, regardless of your pitching. The HR also deserted them and that's not going to cut it.

I hope they do have genuine long-term talent and this year wasn't a "why not" kind of fluke built on momentum and mindset alone. When a bubble like that bursts it bursts for good. You don't see the Nats still doing baby shark.

Most of the Braves guys were dumb. If Boras is the agent locking up the player early doesn't happen unless the player wants it. IE Strasburg

They got paid YEARS early…..they’re ALL just dumb, or they were fairly compensated, love the city, and see the franchise is set to be a contender for a long time?

It’s a brilliant team-building strategy….

F Scott Boras…..how’s that smart guy looking right now that he turned down $440 mil from the Nats for Soto?

Naturally Zards rolled big time everyone looked good. Hilariously Deni is the longest tenured player.

Apologies if this is posted somewhere else.

Monumental Sports Network streaming costs $20 a month. About double what I expected. I was tired of paying for cable just to have ads shoved in my face, so I cut that shiat out of my budget. Now wondering what my best cost effective option is.

For comparison
Disney $11 a month
Netflix $15 a month
MSN $20 a month and 1% the content.

Sigh

Streaming services have gone the way of every other tech “disrupter.” For a decade they used free money to heavily subsidize a product in order to achieve explosive growth and now that interest rates are high and they can’t rely on a never ending stream of VC money, they have to charge higher prices. Buying a few streaming services now is more expensive than most cable packages.

Most all the newer streaming services, and even the bigger older ones, are complaining about either losing money or not making enough profit to sustain investment. YouTube TV recently had to stop using the marketing phrase "for $600 less than cable" because YTTV is now $73/month. I subbed it when it was about $30 but they jacked those prices up pretty fast so I ditched it. Shockingly, those VC investors wanted their money back eventually.

Someday, in a new utopian society after Judgement Day, we'll get ala carte channels instead of cable packages with channels no one wants or these dead end streaming wars.

Disney is falling apart big time. Don't waste your money there and same with MSN. Anything with Micro$ofts name on it, you should put your good money elsewhere. Netflix I have heard a lot of positive from.

What's wrong with Disney? Seems fine to me.

The thing that pisses me off about streaming apps is how the networks are partitioning off content so you have to pay extra, then they include ads on top of it. Peacock handles this with tiers. Amazon Prime just flat out sticks you with the ads.

Tbh he was about the best thing about last nights game. Kuzma/Jordan were bricking up 3s most of the night. When both teams went deep into the training camp bench's the GoGo took over to get the win.

Phil is an arsonist

"There's open spots. There's interest," Watson said Wednesday ahead of this week's Team Championship at Trump National Doral. "There's people calling, texting, even me, and I don't have any pull. So they are asking for help to try to get in the league."

I’m so tired of this noise. I used to like Phil. And I loved the Shark. Now whenever I see their names, I pass and move on to other items. ANY other item.
You’ll get over that jilted feeling….and as a huge Norman fan….yeah, he’s rubbed me the wrong way also, made it too personal, but so did others.

These entities can co-exist. More events means more golf for fans and more jobs for golf pros, so I’m just waiting for them to work out the OWGR/Majors invites issues and get back to just enjoying the game.
