It’s probably going to be over in 6 matches….or at least I doubt those last 3 even matter….but I would have Spieth/Fowler 11/12.

Rory irked after Americans celebrate on 18th

Footage showed Rory McIlroy yelling, 'It's a f---ing disgrace,' while leaving Marco Simone Golf Club on Saturday after the Americans celebrated their win by waving their hats at the crowd on the 18th hole.

GUIDONIA MONTECELIO, Italy -- European star Rory McIlroy had to be ushered into a car by teammate Shane Lowry during a heated argument in the parking lot of Marco Simone Golf Club on Saturday after McIlroy and Matt Fitzpatrick lost their Ryder Cup match to Patrick Cantlay and Wyndham Clark on the 18th hole.

NBC footage showed McIlroy screaming at someone, while caddie Jim "Bones" Mackay was standing close by. McIlroy shouted: "This can't happen. This can't happen. It's a f---ing disgrace." Mackay is American player Justin Thomas' caddie.

The incident in the parking lot likely spilled over from the U.S. team's celebration on the 18th green.

It was over going into today. It was basically over after day 1 unless we had a great day 2, which didn’t happen.

Going into Sunday down 3? Doable. Down 4? Possible but unlikely. Down 5? Basically impossible.
 
Way to ruin the moment with shitty advertising "playing through", NBC. Fowler with a critical lag putt on 15 to basically keep the US team hopes alive and the network is running commercials.

The course was built to suit players whose strengths were off the tee and with long irons. In that respect, the players most suited for the course should've been Hovland, Rahm, Rory for Europe, and Scheffler, Cantlay, Morikawa for USA. Those Europeans went 9-2-1 and were the top 3 this week in total strokes gained. Those Americans went 3-7-2. Brutal stuff.

I pray that somehow, someway, things get sorted out between the tours and Phil is the captain in 2025. We need that entertainment. ZJ was a complete wet noodle.
