Our absolute best hope is to only be down by 3 going into Sunday. No way it is any closer than that and I have serious doubts it will be even that close.

ZJ's post-session interview off the 18th green... yeah, that didn't inspire confidence in me.

Strokes Gained data for the event. Spieth spraying it isn't a massive surprise considering he's always been pretty wild off the tee, but Morikawa sucking the air out of the room for both sessions when he's possibly the most accurate driver & long iron player in the world is a really big concern. I'd start with Scheffler, Cantlay, and Schauffele (even though he's 0-2) in the morning session, then go from there. JT couldn't make many putts but he brings an energy that will be sorely needed - put him out there too. Also found it funny that Wyndham Clark is becoming known for the swirling, out-of-control cut that misses a mile to the right... at Marco Simone, hitting one of those is enough to lose you the match, while at LACC, it's enough to win you a US Open...

On Europe's side, the only negative right now is the Bob MacIntyre Problem, but with a 5 point lead, it might not end up being much of a problem anyway...

Looks like they're out already. I'm surprised to see Brooks back out, I thought he seemed dead tired in his greenside interview at the end of the day.

Here’s the full quote from the LIV golfer: “I mean, I think me and Scottie birdied, what did we say, 14, we birdied 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and then lost by two. So yeah. I mean, I want to hit a board and pout just like Jon Rahm did. But, you know, it is what it is. Act like a child. But we're adults. We move on.”

good Yessssssss….get some bad blood going….needed that brashness early on Zach “you suck” Johnson…..

My prediction for Team USA….

Why the hell would anyone think putting Koepka and Scheffler together was a good idea? Anybody who watched Full Swing could see these guys are polar opposite types of personalities and players.

The first thing that came to mind yesterday was the Hal Sutton fiasco in 2004. Maybe not coincidentally that was the year he tried to marry Tiger and Phil. Same basic oil vs water result.

Pay to play is an old gripe with the US team.

He could've refused to play.

Who loses a match 9 & 7?! Choking Dogs.

you can just tell Cantlay is a jerk. If he’s fractured the room at this stage….he should never make another Ryder Cup. F that guy…

Starting with JT and Jordan is a real head scratcher after yesterday’s debacle by Spieth.

Galaxy brain micromanagement.

I don't think ZJ is a brilliant tactician nor is he an inspirational figure. So he should've just been a caretaker and delegator to his assistants.

ZJ has lost his mind putting Scheffler out first. Dude was in tears greenside after getting his stuff pushed in.

Spieth should be buried at the end with Fowler.

Talk about front-loading a lineup. I get that USA had to do it, but those last three matches could be calamitous. The eye test tells me Spieth has been the worst player this week, and it looks like the stats back that up. And after watching Clark's squirrely-ass long irons on 18 on the last match of both days so far, I find it hard to trust him in the anchor match. Luckily, he's up against Bob MacIntyre.
