That has to be the lowest of lowball offers IMO. Seriously why would Buffalo do this?To Buffalo: Novak, Lauzon/Carrier, 3rd round pick

Preds gonna have to add Aiden Fink to make this deal work. Possibly even Knak and Gunnarwolfe…To Buffalo: Novak, Lauzon/Carrier, 3rd round pick

Don't know what Buffalo needs, but on the Preds board we're wrangling over:
Novak/Sissons (which kind of Center?)
Lauzon/Carrier (which hand on D?)
1st (Vegas)
Top Prospect
Parssinen (well just so he doesn't go on waivers)
A key holdup to me would be the identity of "Top Prospect"... I think the Preds should hold onto L'Heureux, Moldendyk, and any fallback options for #2C in anticipation of Cozens not living up to that job (i.e. Svechkov and Edstrom). So that sort of narrows it down to Kemell or Wood? I am not sure those are really the kinds of winger prospects the Sabres are in much need of either, however.

Not going to get a lot more than a late 1st, I'd think. OP is certainly light on the offer, but Cozens has done nothing but regress (stats-wise) and get paid since his one good season. I'd love to give him a chance with some new scenery, but don't think a team is going to want to give up a premium player.None of that is interesting to Buffalo.
And I think Buffalo's front office is more than fine waiting on Cozens to remove his head from his ass.Not going to get a lot more than a late 1st, I'd think. I can agree with that. I think he's certainly earned that. And I think Buffalo's front office is more than fine waiting on Cozens to remove his head from his ass.

Wouldn't call a 1st and clearing $7 mil junk. But I agree that he's probably worth holding onto.Cool. Then we won’t trade him. If we can make our team better by moving him, we should. If we can’t, then we should keep him. Offering to clean out your junk drawer doesn’t do anything for us.
I think that is reassuring to most Preds fans who have been worrying too much lately about Trotz going after Cozens. If he's valued that highly by the Sabres, then that's perfect.None of that is interesting to Buffalo.
