If buffalo is looking to upgrade 2C position, Nashville doesnt really have anything if interest unless theyre willing to go for RoR + where Nashville slaps stamkos and cozens down the middle and hope that works as a 1/2

Cool. Then we won’t trade him. If we can make our team better by moving him, we should. If we can’t, then we should keep him. Offering to clean out your junk drawer doesn’t do anything for us.
I agree that Buffalo benefits most from holding onto him and not selling while his value is at an all time low, but including Novak, 1st rounder, and a prospect like Svechkov/Wood/Edstrom is certainly not cleaning out our junk drawer. Lauzon/Carrier and Parssinen are added depth that good teams would love to have.

Just because you think it doesn't suit Buffalo in this particular deal doesn't make it a bad package

To Buffalo: Novak, Lauzon/Carrier, 3rd round pick
To Nashville: Cozens, Kulich
Really bad.....

Neither of those players and a 3rd gets Kulich alone

Buffalo needs a younger mid pair RD which Csrrier is not.

Buffalo would like a good young 2 way center on in middle 6 that Kulich could be.

Look at Buffalo’s situation. We’re way beyond valuing the chance/hope of maybe getting a decent NHL player 3-5 years from now.
Agreed that it may not fulfill Buffalo’s needs, which is why we agree it’s probably best to hold him, but it doesn’t make a 1st junk. Every team in the league wants first round picks.

That package isn't enough for Kulich alone, much less adding in Cozens.

I don't see this as the right fit for Nashville, we already have too much money locked up long-term in underperforming players. And if Buffalo is really looking for an upgrade for Cozens+....well we are looking for a center because we don't have any good ones!
