Leafs looked like shit tonight.

Their new Lord and Savior, Jake Muzzin, played 18 minutes but wasn't visible, which, if you're a D, hey that's a good thing, eh?

While there's a small % of this happening, I'd love to see a 1st round exit so our 1st get's bumped up a few notches... but moreso to see all the Leafs fans erupt in a fit of rage on here.

They didn't look good at all 4-5-1 in their last 10. Though it is a long shot, we have seen 2nd half collapses happen before in this game. Does anyone know if the Kings 1st rounder is lottery protected? If not, it would be an oversight to not make it so. Which on the slight chance it did happen, benefit the Kings even more.

I was at the game, 4 of the 5 were absolutely not his fault. Reign were dog**** tonight. 2 of the 5 were literally the exact same tic-tac-toe backdoor play within 3 minutes of one another, then there was a horrendous up the middle pass that got picked off and finally a defenseman not tying up their man in front off a rebound that Petersen made a great save on.
 
The Reign suck, you can't judge a goaltender playing behind a lineup that bad. Look at their lineup tonight, how many guys will be in the NHL in 2-3 years and compare it to the Gulls.

The years of horrendous drafting has not only hit the NHL team, that's for sure.

You could put Patrick Roy in his prime in goal for the Reign this year and it wouldn't matter. Reign have played a lot of poor games this year, but that had to be one of the worst. Grundstrom (who played fine) must be wondering what he got himself into. Roy, Scherback, Sutter, Lintuniemi, and Reddekopp were particularly bad. Reddekopp belongs in the ECHL, but we don't have anyone but another ECHL D man to play in his place.

He's not their 'Lord and Savior' and he played (I only saw half of the game) well, given he's not played in about 10 days, and had to travel to a new country, new team, new d partner and adjust to a team that is much faster, forward wise, on breakouts. He was solid in his debut, blocked a couple key shots, had a few good passes and is just what they needed. He'll be a good partner for Reilly. The more he gets used to the new system, speed and Reilly, the better he'll be. He's in a good place for his career.

Leafs , like most team, (Bolts are struggling too) are having a slump, long season, it happens. It doesn't change much, they stay healthy, they'll should have a good run in the playoffs.

Petersen got shelled, because the guy in front of him played like dog****. It's happened to Quick as well.

If a contending team wants Quick in a deal, he is outta here. There is no reason to keep Quick until he retires. The Kings are not contenders with him, so why does it matter? Time to move on, and get some new assets.

If Quick is dealt then I’m all for Campbell taking over! Petersen while very technical just doesn’t impress me as much as Campbell and all his physical and athletic attributes... WHY TF do we still have Haglin and Thompson in this team since we’re at it?

Going to take Muzzin a few weeks to adjust to a new defense partner and playing in a new conference but he should be fine.

Leafs need more sandpaper up front or they are going home in the 1st round again.
