From the L.A. Times:

"I got pretty fortunate," Bjugstad said. "It was just in the middle of the ice for me, kind of on a platter…. That was toward the end of my shift. I didn't really expect it. I saw it there and started licking my lips. I had some time and had some net too."

Even when we were down 3-0 I went to game 4 and enjoyed it, and I knew the team had character to pull off the sweep.

Especially when the Sharks melted down at the end of game 4, I knew they could be had.

This team is ****ed up in so many ways. That Muzzin pass defined the season, right there. As soon as I he passed the puck without looking I knew it was going into the net. Why? Because every game it's something like that. Every ****ing game...we have no cushion. We seemingly never have the lead and when we do it's one goal and prone to be tied up with a stupid mistake, and it seems all the defensemen are in on it with the exception of RR (now that I wrote that watch him Muzzin-it-up against Tampa).

I have completely lost confidence in this team to do anything. 51 games in and they haven't looked good except against the Sharks on December 27.

That's been it.

How many road games have we lost the lead in third after a sloppy play? After tonight, my guess is at least 5. This team used to be able to close out a game up a goal, not get scored on twice and lose the game 3-2. :shakehead

Just what the **** was he thinking. Big time rookie move.

Unlikely. He's not a bellyacher.

In fact, he's likely as upset as anyone. I'm sure he's pissed he's not with the team and not helping.

Sending MR down woke Carter up for a grand total of one game. Other than that, it's seemingly sucked the life out of this team. Like what the **** happened? I can't figure it out, and I don't accept "they've just played a lot of games." Their ATTITUDE is completely different, like they're sulking over something. What happened?

Yeah, that's the killer. They used to be able to hold leads. Now? Anything goes. Usually the two points.

That predates MR's humiliation. I have no idea. Maybe a perfect storm of suck. Voynov. Mitchell, Gaborik's early season absence, Pearson, fatigue, expectations. It all adds up.

If Dean can pull a rabbit out of his hat, we may be able to go into the draft with three first round picks. Williams would easily fetch a first+. Think Stoll could get a first as well?

Nah, I don't think any GM is dumb enough to give up a 1st for Stoll. Then again, didn't Paul Gaustad net a 1st? On that thought...

I think Dean may have to wait till around deadline day to see how desperate some GMs may get to retool their rosters.

Stoll to me is a second at the absolute MAX and that would include the other pieces from the Kings.

Williams though is absolutely a first. At the minimum.

Kopitar and Carter have struggled
Muzzin has gone through a big regression
Williams looks old and slow
Voynov and Mitchell are gone and haven't been properly replaced
Brown isn't scoring
McNabb has been a disappointment
Pearson is out for the year
Stoll has contributed little
Richards played himself out of the NHL
Quick has regressed
Greene is done

I don't think it's any big mystery. A combination of a flawed roster that has had some key players come up small this season, some bad luck, some poor management and coaching decisions and some injuries sprinkled in.

Gaustad for a first was terrible for Nashville, just terrible. But he is a better 3C than Stoll and he was three years younger. Remember that trade is mocked, it's like the Gomez for McDonough trade, it's always going to be brought up even though a similar trade hasn't happened since.

I think the Kings would be happy to get a third for Stoll. But who knows, Mr. Loyalty may just bring him back with a four year extension, remember at this time last year everyone thought Greene was gone as well.

It seems so long ago, but most of the wins this team established during its hot streak in October was thanks in large part to a hot streak from the Pearson-Carter-Toffoli line. Since that magic died, so did the Kings' consistency.

You forgot one more group of suck!

Useless bottom players (King, Clifford, Nolan, Lewis, Andreoff) that can't shoot a puck in the ocean while standing on the ****ing beach!

Lewis is literally the only player from forward #7 down the entire roster that I care to keep. Everyone else can kick rocks, as we've all been saying since 2013. King is literally a warm body out there and has been since that 2012 run.
