Whats hurting the Kings more is Kopitar's and Carters play on the road.

They can't play like they do on the road. They just can't, this roster doesn't have the depth to pick up the slack.

I'll probably be in big dog poo for suggesting this but, after hearing almost every player who has worn a Kings' jersey this winter from Richards on down being chastised and blamed for this team's failures, has anyone considered that maybe, just maybe, Darryl Sutter has worn out his welcome to the point that he's a major contributor to the team's current lack of success. And now that Mike Richards (but not his contract) is out of the picture, has Justin Williams become the new Richards, like a phoenix rising from the ashes?

As another Kings coach once said, "You can't make chicken soup from chicken ****"

This is not on Sutter, and no way is there any thought to removing him.

I think it's more mentally exhausted. Even though Potvin whined like a little baby tonight, he's right when he said playing high pressure games 2 of the past 3 seasons into June really takes it toll physically, mentally and emotionally.
They are making mistakes they haven't made in 3+ seasons. This team is spent. A long off season and a few new personnel will do them some good.

Lombardi's first round drafting hasn't been the great. I've said this before and I'll say it again: Derek Forbort's slow development has really daunted this organization. He's someone I'm sure the Kings would love to have up here instead of Jamie McBain and Brayden McNabb. Sheesh, he's entering bust territory.

ehh, developing college players isn't as fast as say a junior League. I'd except to see Forbort get minutes next year. No need to rush him. Yes gonna be a very good player.

Seems to me that every team is collectively beating us in what would be a playoff game during the season...and it's pushing us out of the playoffs. Problem is, LA is making bonehead mistakes and helping them out....

Missing the playoffs early will be a good thing in that it will give DL the air cover to sell off aging pieces that deep down he knows need to go.

Watching the pre-game again and seeing these guys walking into the room from the bus. They all looked like high school kids walking to class in the morning on a Monday. No one wants to be there. No heads are high. Everyone's sorta bumbling along like it's just another stop on the road.

They got emotion, just the loser kind.
