Jesus, you must be in my head. All those are nearly at the top of my playlist and favorites. Eddie Money - blast from the past. Saw him twice in the late seventies/early eighties. Great live.
Great minds think alike.:naughty: I got to see Eddie at Plug Regent a very long time ago, horrible venue back then but he was awesome.

I saw him at the old Playhouse theatre. Great venue. The Burt has a lot of the same ambiance. Really wish I had seen Bad Company live. I didn't go to the Paul Rodgers concert when he was here about 5-6 years ago. Too bad, I heard he was excellent.

I saw them once in Minneapolis right around the time of this concert, awesome. The Beatles mashup during Rock n Roll fantasy is fantastic. I have this on DVD it's a great concert.

Another Winnipeg icon/landmark is no more. Best wishes to Sandy Doyle who opened "Blondies" back in 1990. And by my count 1990 was, what, 5 to 10 years ago:cry:

First up is a song everybody knows and instantly identify's with the "Blondie" sound

This one's not a hit and has a more raw feel to it

Last up is a very accessible poppy, bop your head side-to side kinda tune.
Debra, like "Blondie" had attitude, but could satisfy your appetite with either a raunchy, poppy, or commercial song and likewise a 2 or 3 or 9 pound burger.

Not a north end guy so never made it to Blondie's but I weep for any place that could survive 31 years like that. Today was her last day and I wish her the best it retirement. My place like that is George's which we started frequenting in 1981. The St. Anne's location was closed long ago, but the guy who owned it in 81 moved down to the St. Mary's location near the mall and as far as I know still is involved. That's a really long run. There are better burgers out there but I still love me some George's.

I also remember sitting in the parking lot of Tony's Pizza in 1979 in a freezing January with Blondie on the radio and a girl I hadn't met before that night sitting in my lap in the back seat of a friend's car while we ate pizza that was way too hot. I can assure you I barely noticed my mouth burning or the cold outside temperature.
