Problem with Laraque is how he puts together a couple of rumors that pan out and then he throws some toxic waste in there, that he won't back up.

I agree, it's far too easy to smack the departed player to try and prop the incoming asset. It's a time-honored ******* move, unless it's backed up by facts. And since there are no facts, Laraque's droppings are always tagged with a "FWIW" label.

Thing is Pierre LeBrun is now saying same thing as BGL....He thinks Habs deal by end of tomorrow or at latest Jul 1 ....

I guess you're not getting that from LeBrun's twitter account.

he has good sources though. he called the subban trade very very early

We're not denying how several of his trade sources have panned out, only throwing shade on his behind-the-scenes dirtbag stories.

I mean it's... It's not about that... At all. You know what I'm saying I mean... But it's...it's easy to, to talk about... It's easy to sum it up when you're just talking about plus/minus. We're sitting in here, and Drouin's supposed to be the new franchise centre, and we in here talking about plus/minus. I mean, listen, we're talking about plus/minus, not a game, not a game, not a game, we talking about plus/minus. Not a game. Not, not … Not the game that he goes out there and die for and play every game like it's his last. Not the game, but we're talking about plus/minus, man. I mean, how silly is that? … And we talking about plus/minus. I know its a stat thats there. I know NHL.com uses it as an example... I know that... And I'm not.. I'm not shoving it aside, you know, like it don't mean anything. I know it's important, I do. I honestly do... But we're talking about plus/minus, plus/minus man. What are we talking about? plus/minus? We're talking about plus/minus, man. We're talking about plus/minus. We're talking about plus/minus. We ain't talking about the game. We're talking about plus/minus, man. When you come to the arena, and you see Drouin play, you see him play don't you? You've seen him give everything he got, right? But we're talking about plus/minus right now. We talking about plus/minus....

Man look, I hear you... it's funny to me too, I mean it's strange... it's strange to me too, but we're talking about plus/minus man, we're not even talking about the game... the actual game, when it matters... We're talking about plus/minus…

I just read your post, excellent by the way. Your post smells something you know. You have to know that marijuana is not legalized yet if you are living in Canada, maybe you live in Colorado, in that case it's different.

So...Are they gonna do like Galchenyuk and try to turn Drouin into a 2 way C and ruin the guy too ?
I mean I hope but but I don't expect bergie to actually turn up with 2 legit top 2 Centers in the next couple of weeks.
Or are they gonna let them play like offensive forwards like they should.

I think he s from philly just ai guess

Could Jonathan Huberdeau be next ? that would be awesome., Galchenyuk for Huberdeau ?

About Huberdeau, Stéphane Leroux said in Antichambre that Junior Team Canada was picking Hudon before Huberdeau because they consider he was way superior. Hudon had the bad luck to be injured so they pick Huberdeau. Leroux also said if Huberdeau was able to score 30 g with the Panthers, how Hudon couldn't score at least 15 g for the Habs.

I think it is a good deal for Mtl (I'm not has high on sergachev has most) but it is a even better deal for TB.

Yes they gave a talented player but with this trade they solve a lot of issues.
They have been trying to get rid of Drouin for a while...
-Done, + Sergachev and 2nd rd pick is a great return
Having to expose the like of Namestnikov or Killorn or Drouin in the expansion draft.
-Solved.
TB had a bit of a cap issues with Drouin/Palat/Johnson/Kucherov.
-With Kucherov Bridge deal and Drouin gone problem solved.
They lack good D prospect.
-Sergachev, is seen as a elite prospect by a lot of people

On the other hand Mtl has a lot of other moving part they have a few players they won't be able to protect so they lose a player they likely didn't want to lose for free.

They need to resign UFA like Radulov and Markov or else it will create a big whole in the lineup. They are have Galchenyuck and Beaulieu, we don't really know where they fit in, their trade values are has low has it ever and they both have to be resign but I would expect any discount... That going to leave MTL pretty close to the cap.

I dont mind Drouin for Sergachev, but that's only if we resign Radulov and Markov and we add a #1C and top 4 dmen. Otherwise the trade is useless.

Bergevin is going all in and i hope he has a plan and it works.

we just traded 9th overall for 3rd overall and skipped the development years. Perfect trade

I came back to voice my support and approval of the trade but I can't help but think he's going to be another soft, perimeter winger.

Would be awesome next to a Getzlaf or on a high-flying team - but as the main guy he's going to be another softie in a top6 that lacks character and/or size and/or competitiveness.

Playoff nobodies like Pleks and Patches need to get off this roster to really change something. Drouin's effect will be understated until then.

Still - approve of the trade. Not crazy about a huge extension but that's goofy BargainBin - PK wasn't worth investing in but Drouin with no leverage is too good for a bridge deal. The arbitrary and inconsistent approach is what riles me up.

That's not Drouin at all... He isn't big, but he plays with an edge.

My comment was directed at Laraque. Nobody else. The Habs fans are smart enough to know when something smells bad.
No they're not.

See the fetid aftermath of last year's big trade.

BGL is out of line - either spill the beans or keep your mouth shut. Throwing a team asset under the bus is what Boston does, and it is totally unnecessary and pathetic - especially in light of Drouin having ACTUAL documented issues with every team he's played for since Jrs.

Unbelievable.

Sure, so does Gallagher. That means less than we'd like when the big games come and big, skilled players manhandle ours.

Playing with an edge is a prerequisite not a virtue. Drouin plays with an edge, great, but he needs linemates to open up space if the time comes. Just like Gallagher and damn near every other player we have needs that.

Unless he's so skilled he doesn't need that, but knowing how the Habs play (dump and chase) it'll be hard to spot his dangles.
