I don't know how I feel. I wasn't opposed to Subban being traded but a 5 year older player wasn't what I had in mind.

not a habs fan but the fact that Michel ****ing therrien is still a part of the habs organization while subban gets shipped out shows you the state that teams in. Therrien is probably giddy right now. Weber is a top 15 dmen but he's not as good as weber and is 4? years older. Bad deal made by a horrendous gm.

Seriously before today, I thought Weber had negative value and Montreal could've gotten Hall + another top forward from Edmonton for Subban.

I know I'm in the minority here...but I don't mind this deal at all.

I've watched Subban play since he arrived in MTL and although he is skilled like no other...he's not the smartest player around. Loads of selfishness is also what you get.

Although Weber's game may be declining slightly...nobody can forecast what's coming. Lidstrom played great till he retired, Markov played awesome until a year ago. Weber still has good years ahead of him...and Montreal even save on cap hit (I don't pay his salary...so what do I care).

Subban had issues in the dressing room since day 1...Weber will bring much needed leadership to this group.

Off you go Subby...all the best.

I don't get it. What was wrong with Subban? Was there issues off the ice?

He was a well deserved runner-up for the foundation player award this year, so that would be shocking.
I think they wanted more size and defensive zone play.

Im curious how weber will handle being in crazy cdn market....likes his privacy
Whereas subban was very comfortable in pressure cooker mtl
Understand mtl going for more solid defence meaness clear crease with weber....while keeping a high offensive input....less than pk subban though

I got the NHL app update about the Hall - Larsson trade, so I went to TSN for more info. I subsequently saw this trade and the Stamkos re-signing, and my mind was blown. What a crazy day...

By these crazy trades today I am guessing Canada enjoyed having no teams in the playoffs this year. Canadian hockey takes huge hits today. Bad trades in MTL, EDMONTON, and now no Stammer in TOR
