People saying "ITS SO BAD OMG" are insane. Yes Pk is a stud but so is Weber. The man is year in year out one of the best dmen in the national hockey league.

Agreed, I like Subban a lot but I also think Webber is still a soild #1 guy.

I'm just slightly enraged as an oiler fan that when two #1 guys get dealt they couldn't put together a package to get either one of them.

I really don't hate this deal for Montreal as much as the majority of y'all in this thread.

To me, this shows Bergevin absolutely wanted to move PK before his NMC kicked in, and those rumors of him not gelling in the locker room were accurate. Weber may be significantly over but he's still a #1 and it's not like they traded for Brian Campbell now. You don't win every trade but you have to do what's best for your franchise.

I know it seems like Montreal lost out, but Shea Weber is a pretty damn good defender himself. I just hope the Montreal fans don't **** on him as if it was his fault PK got traded. They need to embrace what they have, because Weber is still a top 10 defender in this league.

Side note, never thought I'd see the day where two top 10 defenders get swapped 1 for 1.

Marc Bergevin just proved that he is the worst GM in the league and the worst GM in the history of the Montreal Canadiens.

If im Shea Weber i ask for a trade to get out of Hell. The fans will never forget and will boo him every single time he steps on the ice. He might even get killed for the trade.
