Has there ever been a trade so unanimously hated for one side? I have not seen a single person on any website try to defend this for Montreal.

The only reason I dont like the trade for the Habs is because of their ages. For the next two years I have a feeling Weber will serve them better than Subban would.

Bergevin was making Houle look half decent over the past year...but he really outdid himself on this one...didn't think it was possible...congrats to Bergevin on officially being the worst GM in Habs history!!!

I remember when Habs fans wanted a lot more than just Tanev for Subban. I now wish Benning would have moved Tanev straight up for Subban. I'm sure Habs fan would have been happier with that return than today's

I don't understand why MTL took an older and more expensive D?

Why not high draft picks or a top forward?

What happened between Subban and the Montreal brass? This makes no sense. Poile with some magic here.

So I guess Chia was in play for one of these guys, but the price I guess was too high. Either of them would've cost Hall + Klefbom + something else. So instead he went for the better value in Larsson, and then these two teams had this deal in their back pocket in case Chia went for another Dman. That's why both happened so close to each other. Has to be. Very glad we didn't go for one of these guys and give up Klefbom, as eventually it would've been a rather lateral deal. We need Klefbom PLUS another good Dman, not either/or.

Thanks Bergevin for making the Chiarelli trade look good! MTL fans, welcome to the hurt.... we've already been there for a while.

I don't even understand what the Habs are trying to do in the grand scheme of things.

I actually like this for Montreal, Subban is really overrated by fans, its obvious most NHL coaches and GMs don't trust him defensively and get tired of his act.
