Awesome. Us Devils fans enjoyed the spotlight for 20 minutes. Thanks, Montreal and Nashville for ruining our moment.

But hey, this takes the heat off of Edmonton fans hearing about how stupid their team is, so I guess it isn't a total loss.

And yes, :sarcasm:.

Weber had 20 goals last year, he just ran out of gas in the playoffs probably from too much ice time throughout the season. He is not in a huge decline as posters have suggested.

No he has. Part of the problem was he was never as good as he was build up to be.

OMG the Canadian teams have gone pure mental, please Leafs do not jump in on any of this crap that EDM and MTL have done.

Hall returned just that?

And trading a 2013 Honda for a declining 2008 Honda.

Montreal is on drugs for this deal, trading a 27 year old elite 1 d-man in his prime is ridiculous

Chris Chelios
Patrick Roy
PK Subban

This will be historically remembered as one of the worst trades in Habs history.

I have defended Bergevin like crazy these last few years. But that's it. I'm done.

Fire the guy

He has 10 years left on his contract with a $7.8 mil. cap hit.

While Weber is a great defenseman, there is hardly any chance his play will be anywhere near close to the justification of a player having that high of a cap hit.

People saying "ITS SO BAD OMG" are insane. Yes Pk is a stud but so is Weber. The man is year in year out one of the best dmen in the national hockey league.

I still can't believe it.

It might take days for the reality to set in. I cant even imagine what this is going to do in Montreal.

Two guys that were basically the definition of franchise cornerstones, moved for eachother. This is the kind of trade the NHL network of the future is going to have little "remember when" commercials on in 30 years.

I never ever thought Nashville would trade Weber after matching his poison pill contract. And I never ever ever thought the Habs would move PK after losing McDonough for peanuts.
