Character issues

No teammates loves him, clearly.

I think people are making up character issues about this kid. The new hawks wanted a fresh start and just wanted to be rid of everything to do with the past to the best of their ability to move people. You can agree or disagree and with this kid I tend to disagree but we’ll see in the end. I think also they gave up on him early based on how he did so far which is of course ridiculous.

I think character issues are a reach made by those who just hope that’s the reason.

It may not be the leap of a story someone is making but no its not made up from nothing. King and Eddie O had comments last year about the way things go.

It mainly seemed focused on just how he took things not going well

My lord the amount of speculation that article goes with….

It was probably a poor choice of words, and hardly anything you’d hang your hat on. If that’s all you got, you don’t have enough to call out the kids character. King says “he wants it all now”.

So teach the kid some patience just like the rest of them. That would be a dumb reason to trade him.

I’m going with they just wanted scorched earth from the previous regime, and made a bold choice the kid wouldn’t achieve great heights anyways.

Hawks fan actually...and yea I’ve watched him play MORE than Habs fan have...he has noticeably been cheap shoted by the opposition to the point Eddie Olcyzk noted it in telecasts...and he’s come to the bench and his teammates didn’t care...something there, he’s a piece of work
I doubt the hawks players care for anyone

Ever since the Oilers played the Blackhawks in the play-in series a few years back I just dreamt the Oilers could get their hands on this guy. Never thought the Blackhawks would deal him. I don't think we have seen the best of him yet. Lots of potential in this guy.

I have seen him play a fair bit. Which is why I said he could be an elite center.

But he has yet to produce like one so I wouldn't call him one yet.
Of course you can't call him an elite center yet because as of right now he's a full time winger but it isn't unusual for potential elite centers to get serious reps on the wing before the coach trusts him with first line center duty .

He's on a 76 pt pace. His contract will be a ridiculous bargain if that continues.
He's QBing the power play. The plan seems to be to put him back at C, maybe in 2nd half or next year. I think HuGo is waiting for Slafkovsky to grow into that role with Suzuki and CC

Dach is showing a pretty tough side of his game. Unlike Chicago, his teamates have his back.

What a trade!

Blackhawks didn’t want him as one of their future core...period. I’ve always thought that their was something character wise that the team missed when interviewing him before the draft...something mistaken for confidence/leadership...and I noticed as he played more and more that other teams didn’t like him, and his teammates didn’t care to defend him over...something...I. Junior he had a teammate/bodyguard named Riley McKay whom Chicago signed to an AHL contract with Rockford...well well well that same teammate/bodyguard was traded to Laval(Montreal’s farm team) in the AHL now...and after a slow start Dach has picked it up...something there...can’t put my finger in it, but it’s a character issue that Dach has that Chicago decided they were done with

When(and it will happen) Dach gets moved from Montreal we’ll see what ‘their’ reason was...

You’re a conspiracy theorists dream.

Doesn’t have to be substance, just keep producing inferences until you get the narrative you want.

19 points in 26 games. Thank you so much Chicago!!

But again, Frank Nazar is going to be insane.

Good trade for both teams.
