So, is this just a stepping stone for him to get back into the NHL? I wonder why he decided on Montreal. He's basically walking in as their best forward, right?

That's probably the exact reason.

1st line guaranteed practicly, Habs fan NEED top6 player so, inb cas he does well, we could probably extend him for same cap/similar cap LT with Desharnais leaving and Emelin also probably leaving

AND, radulov is on a 1 year contract. Expansion draft is coming also which could be a reason why Habs wanted him on a 1 year deal AND explained that to him. Vegas wouldnt prob claim him knowing theyd need to resign him, which kind of give Habs one spot more in their protection list

Patch-Plek-Galch-Gallagher-Danault-Shaw-???-Beaulieu-Petry-Weber
Radulov on the 1 year deal kind of makes him unavailable for Vegas. Genious idea

Laff it up laffs fans, Habs will be in the playoffs next year and your team won't. This is a low risk, high reward signing and bolsters our right wing.

Awesome move for Habs...

Radulov was a megastar in Quebec as a teen ...great fit for him and very very marketable in Quebec .

As bitter sweet as it was to see Subban go , Radulov coming back to Quebec is huge news for the Quebec market...The ooooh and ah factor is back...

So now when Montreal and Nashville play ,it won't be Subban vs Habs...It's goona be Former Nashville Radulov Vs Former Montreal Subban

Will be a sight to see, as i think both players are ready to try to make there old teams look bad...

His next coach in Montreal is goona be likely Patrick Roy ...;)

No one gives a **** about Radulov vs the Preds. It's the most insignificant footnote of all time. It will be 100% Subban vs the Habs.

Nashville
From a die hard Preds fan I am not a fan at all of Rads. He pretty much screwed our franchise two different times in different ways. Hopefully for the Habs sake it works out. I am just super happy he isn't in Nashville anymore or for that matter ever.

Honestly yoy don't trade Subban for the distraction reasons then go ahead and sign Radulov

wasnt just a distraction, people grew to dislike him after all the years. No one on the club has been with Radulov besides Weber so although he has a reputation he is starting at zero with the club.

I think Radulov and Weber will love to light the Preds up ...You think different ,ok...

Trade Subban because of off the ice issues, then go and sign Rads. Ummm....ok.

1 year contract, vs whatever was left on Subban's and his NMC that kicks in today. Not a fair comparison. If Radulov has off ice issues the situation resolves itself at the end of the year, or sooner.

I'm not trying to make excuses or defend Habs management. I hate the Subban trade, he is my favourite player. I hate it. I just don't think this particular criticism of the Radulov deal makes any sense.

He's saying no one gives a **** about the Weber/Radulov aspect of the Preds vs Habs.

Subban is the main point of focus because he'd the biggest player and by far the most exciting one in all this. Which is true.

I've said this more than a few times, but i truley always believed if Radulov was drafted by Montreal he would still be an NHL player.....
He went from a hockey god in Quebec(15,000 fans all chanting his name) to going to Nashville who at the time was not as good a team or hockey market as it is today....

Huge let down for the kid,he packed up and went back to Russia .
Everyone can voice an opinion ,but it happened.

He is now turning down 2 year deals, to take a 1 year from Montreal because he wants to play in Quebec....
He wants back the bright spotlight he had in Quebec as a teen ....I'd expect he is going to rip it up this year, and
it will be fun to watch for the entire NHL .

It makes perfect sense. You shipped out a guy with issues for pennies on the dollar then bring in this guy. Sheds light on the issue of race with Subban and Montreal IMO
