So, is this just a stepping stone for him to get back into the NHL? I wonder why he decided on Montreal. He's basically walking in as their best forward, right?

As the clip showed, the stick incident was a complete accident. Blown way out of proportion.

I'm not going to say he doesn't have a history, but if he's grown up ...

He's as talented as anyone who signed today. Maybe more. He's very familiar with Quebec culture, so that won't be an issue. He should be motivated by the one year deal to have a strong season and earn a long term one. He apparently left at least one 2 year deal on the table. TSN says Detroit was very interested. Could have been them.

The amount of tears this signing is causing is all ready amusing.

It's one freaking year for the best hockey player not in the NHL. I wish the pens could afford this.

Come the TDL, Bergevin will make him available for 2 second round picks.

PK was too much of an individual for the them and they sign Rad? I can't wait.

Can anyone actually defend this?

To me looks like he was trying to bang his stick not hit the coach. The little hand waive is his way of saying "sorry".

Any background on the incident? Was it ever confirmed he was attacking his coach for no reason or was it like I said an accident?

Wasn't he offered a 1 year 5,5m deal by the avs? I'm wasn't in shock when he said that he didnt get his salary request 7,5m from any nhl team, but now he signs with mtl and nearly the same contract as col offered... ;( not funny
