I think you not knowing Roy didn't play those games is a pretty telling story.
Why? It was months ago. I watched a fair amount of habs games down the stretch and saw a lot of Roy, sorry I don't remember exactly which games he was in.

I think it's more telling that you left Doan off the list after claiming it would be silly to leave the 2nd highest eligible scorer off the list. Care to explain yourself?

Do you believe Doan, who is almost two years older, is better than Joshua Roy and belongs on this list? I'll be 100% honest and I didn't even consider him because I thought he was 23.

Why on earth would you expect someone to remember if a guy played in two games three months ago? I watched both of those games closely (I was invested in the Wings’ draft position) and I couldn’t have told you anyone who played in either of those games other than Hutson.

I would probably take Roy long term, but it's close. Doan is a bit of a late bloomer but was really impressive in the few games I saw, I would for sure have him on the list. Kudos to you for admitting your mistake.

Joshua Roy is better than stankoven. When it's all said and done Roy will be working for Stankoven.

My goodness this thread is a gong show. 99.9% of people that love their team have significant bias towards the prospects on their team. This is human nature, people. Yet somehow we are supposed to accept that OP is different from everyone else, and that being accused of being a homer is akin to being accused of some heinous crime. Haha. The important thing with these lists is to figure out who the list-maker cheers for and take the rankings of their team’s prospects and the prospects owned by the teams they naturally hate with a grain of salt. Very simple for this list.

Welcome tough crowd.

I ranked the 50 best under-23, under 25 games affiliated prospects for the year of 2024.

As usual, I do not rank goaltenders because it is just too much work to analyze goaltenders, especially because they play a lot, there's a lot of them and they're often hidden in random leagues. I'd be happy to provide a list for anyone who cares but yeah, thats it.

Here's a post I made in 2019 that still describes my views on prospects:

First I'll always thank someone for putting the time into something like this. Can you explain why you had Dvorsky plummet so much? By most accounts he had a great year. He carried Quentin Musty who you have 23rd on your list. I'm curious about that but respect any answer.

I pretty much swapped them in my rankings. Note that I had them, I think 3 spots apart in my 2023 ranking so the difference between both isn't exactly well illustrated here, as I've said a lot of times, there's pretty much no difference between prospect ~15 to ~45.

With that said, it's a function of their overall progression and them confirming the views I had on them. Dvorsky failed once again to impose his will on games, at least skill and physicality wise, he reverted to being a zone player, a good one, but not a future star. Meanwhile Musty for all his flaws showcased again why he is a special player.

If you were to gamble your house on either being a star who would you chose? Of course Dvorsky is a pro player and I'm sure he could fit in today on the blues. I see him more as a Zibanejad like player where he produces his offense at 5v4 mostly and then he's more of a status quo player at even strength.

The potential for Musty is that he stops being lazy every two games and becomes a total force.

I would also challenge the notion that Dvorsky carried Musty, although I can't say I've seen the most games of these two for this past game so you may know more.
