Yeah, I agree with that. However, in this case it should have been a fine. What is absolutely whining and acting entitled is supporting an obvious poor decision by the DOPS.
Not to speak for other Leafs fans, but I can't imagine they like these sort of hot takes representing them.

This is the ultimate cringe.

Maybe if he missed some time, but the fact he went out and scored the game-winner two nights later? Don’t think it phased him.

And the Leafs went out and won 2 nights later? Don't think it phased them either.

The Senators fans are making it bigger than it is because their season is almost over. It's exactly like the whole Dahlin thing all over again.

You do realize the post I was responding to was stating that “Sens fans are still crying a week later” and I’m explaining why we’re not crying, right? I think you’re a little confused here, bud

They are. Have you read the thread?

Many are complaining Rielly didn’t get 10+. Many are upset that Rielly is using his right to appeal. It’s really strange.

The opinions among Toronto Maple Leafs fans vary widely, much like those of fans of other teams and the general public. While it's true that many Leafs fans hold different viewpoints, this is no different from any other sports community. Each fan brings their unique perspective and passion to the table, contributing to the rich tapestry of opinions surrounding the sport.

Can they? No. It’s not moving the goalposts, there was 2 points in the original post and you addressed one of them. I brought up the second point and it’s all of a sudden moving the goalposts.

There was a lockout and the NHL wouldn’t budge.

No point of independent arbitrators when they are fired for decisions one party doesn’t agree with. Would you agree with that?

Sure the NHLPA can do whatever they want, with the NHL’s consent - which the NHL won’t give. So it’s a moot point. The person who you appeal suspensions to is probably lower in the priority of things to die on the sword by when you are risking a lockout. I’m sure the NHLPA compromised on it - but that doesn’t make it fair. In any labour dispute it’s never 50-50, the employers are always at an advantage because they have more money than the workers and can afford to wait it out longer.
NHL doesn't unilaterally decide what the CBA is, the PA just didn't feel that issue was important enough to continue fighting over.

You made points about how arbitors are picked, I pointed out how it was dumb, whether you're willing to eventually admit it or not, I don't really have any desire moving on to your next hill, I've seen enough of your posts in this thread to know how it will go,

It was in the original post. You’ve disputed the second half of the argument which makes no sense.

Lol is that what you see? I think the consensus is: could have been more, 5 games get f***ed, good luck with that appeal, Greig is a legend

I don’t think Greig does it again but I’m glad he got his 15 minutes. I doubt he does it again, he learned his lesson.

Greig isn’t a legend because he won’t do it again.
Even if he didn’t do it again, the way he riled up an entire city was f***ing epic.

However, the guy is a certified troll. This has played out exactly how he wanted it to. I’m sure he won’t be the only one firing clappers at the Leafs open nets.

Many lol. Most Sens fans suspected 6 games like Perron. Most don't care about his appeal. Suffice to say as there were fans of other teams making those statements also, your 'many' is overly exaggerated. No surprise there.

You’re overestimating the impact he’s had. The majority of the league disagreed with what he did but you think he’s inspired others to do it?

Let’s see if it happens. I would bet it doesn’t.

He might make it acceptable for any team to fire clappers in any team's nets. To the detriment of hockey in my opinion.

Do you think Toronto did themselves any favours by saying they were surprised theirs an in Person hearing, having Reaves speak on the subject on more violence and all their media saying it was justified.

Toronto has somehow convinced itself it’s special. It’s not, it’s just a Rich team surrounded by people who thinks it’s special because they have access to the inside. It’s not special, if it was it would have a Cup final in the last 60 years it could talk talk to one of their fans about
Your opinions are valid except that Toronto is absolutely special. You can't help yourself but tune in to what theyre doing. And you always will.

The majority of the league hasn’t spoken about it :dunno:

The majority of the ones that spoke disagreed with it is what I mean. Even some of his teammates disagreed with his actions but you think he's creating a trend.

Like I said, you're making it much bigger than it is.

Why are you making stuff up?

Can you explain how taking a slap shot at an empty net would harm the game of hockey?
To say nothing of cross-checks to the head! Seriously.

I think it is taunt and a disrespectful bush league move. I don't Reilly crossed the line in his response to it, but a response was valid.

Sure, that’s what you think but how does a taunt harm hockey.
