I thought an in person was required to go beyond 5 games. Not sure about minimum.

i thought in person is min. 5 games. where does the 6 come from? did it change.
From NHL page

If the infraction might require a suspension of six games or more, the offending Player is offered the opportunity to an in-person hearing. In this case, the Player remains suspended until the hearing takes place. If the Player waives his right to an in-person hearing, the hearing will be conducted by phone.

"Intangibles". Justify it however you want, Kastelic is every bit a plug as Reaves is.

Kastelic just doesn't want any part of Reaves. Not surprising since he usually gets beaten up by fighters unless he's scrapping guys like Tony DeAngelo.

Lol for thinking Reaves is anywhere as capable a hockey player as kastelic.

Lmao I'm pretty sure Reaves got multiple threads on the main boards for being such a useless signing.

Nice try though.

It's cute seeing you keep trying to make excuses for Reaves.

Seen some pretty bad takes but the worst of it has to be the idea that this shows how tough the Leafs are.. Drop the gloves if you're really tough.

Going after him makes sense but no need for a crosscheck to the side of the head.
lol. Who said that? I am a leafs fan, they are soft as melted butter.

yea i had it wrong. i thought in person was required for 5 games but it's required for more than 5.

Isn't minimum for in person the same as the max for phone at 5 ?
Technically for an in person hearing the minimum is 0 games. They can't give *more* than 5 without an in person hearing so the fact that it's in person implies that they believe there's a chance it will be 6+, but it's entirely possibly (technically, not in practice) for them to have the in person hearing and then say "actually he's fine, no suspension"

Parros is going to go to town on Morgan. We could definitely be seeing double digits here. You don't give George the opportunity when it comes to the Leafs. Take the plea bargain.

He's gone to town on the Leafs for much less than this.

This will be setting a precedent for all players with no previous suspensions. Interesting to see what the number is, how it’s explained and if it’ll be enforced like this in the future.

I’m ok with whatever they give him.

The same people all up their their feeling for what Reilly did to Greig were laughing their asses off when Bennet pile driver'd Matt Knies.

This could be a season ender for Morgan here.

It's Christmas Eve for Parros. They're gonna leave the rest of the teams in their dust with players suspended under George. Extend that lead

I loved Reeves watching Morgan’s mental episode. You could just tell he was thinking “oh man if that was be out there, I’d cross check his brain so hard he wouldn’t even get back up, like real men do”

George’s track record when it comes to all things Leafs speaks for itself. You can fully expect it to be on the extreme end.

The fact that Perron got 6 for a very similar situation (cross check to the head for retaliation for something that occurred in the game), and the fact that Rielly is one of the least penalized players in the league would make a suspension of more than 6 or 7 look pretty insane.

But is there's one thing Parros has been consistent about, it's being insanely inconsistent, so who knows.

But it's not equally "diddly squat". Missing the playoffs for a million years in a row and still being a bottom 5 team is still worse than making the playoffs but always getting out early.
Didn't the Sens reach the Finals in 2007 and also the finals in 2017 ? I know thats a bit ago, but please tell me how far the Leafs have made it in that time period.

I am also in the "don't mind Reilly going after him, but big issues with a cross-check to the head." camp. Drop the gloves, pull him up and take a swing.
Agreed. In fairness it looks like he caught shoulder first but at the end of the day, you have to be in control of your stick.
