The funny thing is if Reilly or anyone else gave Greig a pass for what he did, darts would be thrown at the Leafs for being soft and not giving a shit.

You’re not wrong. I wish Rielly had been much more careful but I don’t blame him for going after Greig one bit.

Isn’t it worse to slap one when the goalie is in the net? He’s wearing gear but it can still hurt him

You're not wrong.

Do you think Leafs fans are aware about the 56 years of incompetence?

I know that I'm very aware of it.

How are the Senators doing these days BTW?
Actually, things are going better since Euge is in the ground and Pierre has been jettisoned into the sun.

Our recent incompetence had to do with a singularly bad owner and that has been rectified.

Harrold Ballards been dead for over 30 years so what is the leafs excuse?

In the 1920s with no helmets you think players cross check him in the head from behind after a goal?
lol yes. i wouldnt be surprised if there was an additional slash or elbow in the 1920's. but i honestly don't think a player in the 1920's would start shit and then skate away.

you guys need that downtown rink, that will be a gamechanger for you guys

2 games for head shot, like Bieksa said. Just a regular shove would have worked, but understandable that it happened.

What you don’t understand is that there is this code in hockey with many unwritten rules. The reason why these rules are not written down is because these rules can change at any time and you can be punished for doing completely legal things in the game.

Remember the code, or try to, or else face the consequences.

This is the kind of play that should get 10-15 games. It's not part of the game.

People are getting a bunch of games for split second bad hits. Reilly had forever to think about this, with no time left, after a goal and still came to the decision to lay a cross-check to the head.

This is kind of play that is pure garbage.

Gotta love the Sportsnet panel too.

Panel: love to see that fire from Reilly!
Also panel: bush league play by Greig.

So fire is an illegal check to the head after a play to an unexpecting player? But adding some flair to a goal isn't fire? Cute, Sportsnet. Cute.

This whole thing rocks.

People crying about a guy shooting the puck in the net are equally hilarious and soft.

Agree 100% - - there’s nothing wrong with showboating and trying to embarrass the opponent.

Just understand that there’s going to be retaliation and repercussions for doing so.

"REMEMBER THE CODE OF THE UNWRITTEN RULES THAT CAN CHANGE AT ANY TIME."

Well hopefully the unwritten rules change that Greig can crosscheck Reilly in the face before a face-off. Literally no different. Reilly is scum.
