That it's really easy to get under Reilly's skin and get him suspended?

I would bet if Ridley has an another empty net against Toronto, he does the same shit.

He's an Uber pest. That's this game. Rielly gave into it so wonderfully. Haha

It's hilarious you think this will make Greig not do it again.
I can assure you he will never do that again

He’s gonna think twice about it and throw some extra spice on it, go backhand clapper or somethin as he stares Reilly down. Or he stops an inch from the goal line and just waits for shit to pop off, that’d be fun. Dump the puck in the net at the last second as all the angry Leafs swarm, just go chaos mode with it.

Stop and do the Griddy before winding up and hammering it in. 😎😎😎😎

Hell yeah dude. Celebrating should be a penalty. No cheering allowed. And everyone should wear a suit and tie at all times.
Someone with over 7K posts here should know the difference between celebrating and unsportsmanlike conduct.

lmao at the notion that this will 'bring the locker room together'... getting suspended multiple games for throwing a tantrum when you play for a team with years of history of being labeled too soft while in the middle of a push to try to make the playoffs isn't going to help the locker room culture at all lol.

Rielly just proved to the league how easily rattled that team is.
It's never hurt teams like Boston, St. Louis, LV, TB who look after each other on the ice at all times and are more than willing to take a penalty to protect a teammate or send a receipt to a player in the form of a hard hit, face wash or bump away from the play that goes unnoticed by the refs.

The funny thing is if Reilly or anyone else gave Greig a pass for what he did, darts would be thrown at the Leafs for being soft and not giving a shit.

I don’t expect it to be more than a couple games given that Rielly has no history with DoPS and I think the intent was to get Greig in the shoulder area. In fact if you look carefully it seems to me hit stick makes some contact first at the shoulder then rides up into Greig’s head.

I don’t believe for a second Rielly intended to hit him in the head and that might help him on the length of suspension he gets, but the result is what it is and the play was both clearly reckless. End of the day he did make head contact so easily suspension worthy.

I didn’t like what Greig did but while it deserved a response from the Leafs it didn’t deserve the level he got from Rielly. I can certainly understand Sens being upset about the play

Greig should have gently tapped the puck in the net, in order to avoid hurting any of the Fragile Four’s feelings :D
Then they would of been butt hurt that he was mocking them by purposely making it look like he wasn't trying. Who would of thought that you have to score a certain way in order to not upset the Leafs?

Like Greig cares lol.
Its an example of 1 of the better aspects of hockey culture. Modesty and a core tenant of respect is huge.
Its mainly the fact we have a cpl generations that don't understand consequences.

I am surprised there are not more people sharing my position.
Should Rielly have done something??? YES!!
Should he have crosschecked him in the head?? NO!!!

rielly hit Greig in the back of the head where he was protected with a helmet.

Hitting with a bat is different as baseball players don't have same protection and a baseball bat swing is dangerous compared to a cross check with a stick

If he two handed face slashed with the stick then your point would have been true
Quoting this because it is probably the dumbest HF comment ever, and that is saying a lot.

First off the hit was clearly on the side of the head.

Second, you do realise hitting a person on the back of the head is one of the easier ways to kill a person? There is a reason that all contact sports BAN hitting the back of the head because it is so dangerous and yet here you are trying to defend that it is OK.

Jesus, wake up.
