My thought is late in the game gets at least a one game suspension, because the major wasn't served. It's not rational, just how they do things.

Regarding discouraging dirty plays in the future, I don't think suspensions accomplish any of that.

It's only cause they haven't given out long enough ones. If they started giving out 5 game suspensions without pay it would make guys think twice
