yup, just look at the engagement on here for a Sunday morning, 142 viewing this thread aloneI love it all. The slap shot and the retaliation. Hockey needs more of this, ratings would go through the roof.

Steve Dangle said it right on LFR. Grieg did the right thing by his teammates and his fans. The building was mostly leaf fans and in that moment the fan base and the team needed that exclamation mark.
That game meant a hell of a lot more to Ottawa than it did the leafs, and the leafs star players sure played like it.
If Morgan wants to respond, drop the gloves. Don’t get your stick up to a guy’s head.
To all the Leafs players and fans mad about Greig doing this - easy solution: don’t let Greig have a breakaway with an empty net. Actually beat the team you’re supposed to beat. You guys f***ing suck
The Leafs do that in almost every away city, what's the difference in Ottawa? How sad is that?
Are some of you completely out of it? Hammering the puck home on an empty net is a salt in the wounds move. 100% intended to be taken that way.
yeah..... well let us know when you guys win a series against us. still yet to happenYet the Leafs struggle against that team hmm
None of these questions are relevant and you are trying to deflect.
No team would want one of their own to go out and cross check a player in the head for a slap shot into an empty net.
It’s cheaper for me to buy tickets in Ottawa and stay in hotel over night than see a game in Toronto. Sens fans are happy to sell their tickets with lots of margin than watch their team. How sad is that?

It's like shooting a shoplifter dead, punishment doesn't fit the crime.
This was the real Battle of Ontario. Not what we saw last night....
How sad is that?
Slashots are common.
They should be more pissed if their goalie was in net because then it has a chance to hurt someone.
Giroux literally took a Slapshot on a breakaway right infront of the goalie and no one cared.
The Leafs over reacted and cried and now will face punishment.
Maybe next time they won't be so sensitive if they don't want to get suspended.
Dirty Alfie. Didn't even get 2 minutes for thatI remember Tucker losing it against their bench like it was yesterday. Good times.
You really think grieg would have dropped the gloves? He would have just turtled and then people would just be bitching about rielly going after a defenceless player. Would make no differenceGrieg should’ve been expecting a response, but Reilly cross checking him in the head instead of dropping the gloves was a cowardly way to go about it

Im not justifying anything bud. but comparing this to Bertuzzi and Moore is just stupid
Yes Reilly is the idiot and coward... who goes after a player with gloves on while using his stick. 100% POS weakling.Grieg should’ve been expecting a response, but Reilly cross checking him in the head instead of dropping the gloves was a cowardly way to go about it
At the end of the day - he used his stick to put the puck in the net. That's it.I agree that no fines or suspensions should be given to anyone, I was point out that IF there are any fines Grieg should be one of them because he provoked the incident.
Yup..............and now we wait to see if it's 2 game suspension? 5 game suspension?Grieg should’ve been expecting a response, but Reilly cross checking him in the head instead of dropping the gloves was a cowardly way to go about it
