Actually, things are going better since Euge is in the ground and Pierre has been jettisoned into the sun.

Our recent incompetence had to do with a singularly bad owner and that has been rectified.

Harrold Ballards been dead for over 30 years so what is the leafs excuse?
Not sure.

Also not sure why I signed up to be a die hard fan of a team that tortures me.

Tell that to mark Scheifele who got 5 plus for a hit or Brendan Dillon who just got 3 for hitting a guy who has his head down. Honestly. I hope he gets 10 plus. Send a message.

Sure and then it’s appealed and reduced and Jets fans are going to get upset again.

You can’t arbitrarily increase suspensions because you don’t like the player or team.

It’s almost like Parros played for the Habs and uses bias in his disciplines.

Let’s not forget the Leafs are the only team where Bettman had to step in and reduce Parros’ ridiculous punishments.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bettman have to do it again for Rielly.

Never seen the slapshot into an empty net before other than a half hearted one by Kesler.

It also sort of reminds me of Kovalchuk in the world juniors celebrating before putting the puck in the empty net.

Obviously it does not excuse reilly's reaction, and he should be punished, but there's no need for the Ottawa player to raise the temperature there.

We had a 50 year old in net the other night on short notice at my game cuz our tender blew out his shoulder. He sucked ass. Other team beat us 7-1 and were celebrating hard and screaming even on the 7th goal. So far worse than what Greig did.

You know what me and my teammates did? Nothing, other than calling them chumps for rubbing it in.

Reilly lost his composure and nothing else is relevant.

You are comparing a game of a bunch of old heads to an NHL game?

So would boxers be arrested, so would martial arts be arrested, so would football players who fight get arrested, so would UFC fighters get arrested.

Not a good take.
Do those other sports use a weapon to do it ? Nope. Nobody would have a problem if Reilly fought him. The problem is he used his stick as a weapon. Honestly.

This is one hell of a daft post.

Boxers, UFC and martial arts are sports where the essence of their practice is fighting within fixed rules.

Morgan Rielly taking a stick to an unsuspecting guy's face in a premeditated manner because he scored a goal is decidedly not part of the essence of hockey.

You would have to apply that to every use of a stick in some violent manner, which happens often. He's not getting charged with assault with a weapon, nor should he.

Morgan Rielly would 100 percent deserve to be arrested for assault if he did this in any other context.

He also probably would be facing legal problems if this had resulted in serious injury to the player.

Some folks really don't realize how bad what he did was.

Oh Jesus Christ, quit with the drama. Greig wasn't even injured on the play.

and the NHL is fighting fighting fight. More fights in the NHL then any of those sports combined.

Not everyone is a Karen.
