Whether you count it or not doesn’t mean it wasn’t an action that was supplementally disciplined by the league before.

He’s never been suspended prior but he was fined by the league for crosschecking recently.
Look at the play… this was in a heated battle.

Reilly is in a different situation. He has time to think.

Premeditated dangerous hit to the head.

6-10 games

For what, once again not manning up for a square fight when something pisses them off?

This shows nothing other than how easy it is to rattle this butter soft group.
nah it more highlights how the younger generation plays the game honestly. The game has just changed and I believe he thought he was just going to snicker to himself and get away with it.

You've got to have an impressively weak mental disposition to lose your shit because someone scored on your empty net with a slapshot instead of a wristshot

Suspend him for 10 games

It’s speaks to the Leaf’s players entitlement. No other team in this league would think that a slightly embarrassing slap shot into an empty net warranted this kind of response

Ridley Greig won. He’s a pest who trolled the Leafs hard last night, and now one of their only good defenders is facing a suspension of 6-10 games because of his antics.

You know he’s absolutely loving this right now.
I'm sure he loves being possibly concussed, a dream come true.

How much time did Rielly have to think? He literally skated immediately to him.

This is what people fail to understand. Reilly fell right into his trap card.

I get people don't follow the Sens that close because we have been abstaining from playoffs, but Greig is a pest. This is a 10/10 response for him.

hockey players have to be the biggest p***yes. Guy slap shots for fun and you lose your mind. How do these people manage to live their lives?
It's all an act. What started with the "gotta protect the goalie, man" excuse for the scrum around the net after every whistle has morphed into an on ice hissy fit about anything and everything seen as an affront to one's team, even if that perceived affront is 100% legal (which it usually is).

Not sure if it was this season or last, but Travis Konecny attacked someone after they scored in an empty net
