Amazing! Do you know where/how this encounter occurred?

Uh-uh.

But by the appearance of them both and the fact Jagr has (presumably) an Omsk jersey and that little finger bandage, I'd bet this was taken shortly after the 2005 WCH.

EDIT: Here is a link to the only page I have found that seems to expand on the picture's origin. It's in Finnish (probably). I have run it through the translator, but the only thing I've deduced is that it took place in 2005, Kucherov was 12 and the article claims he had not learned about the NHL yet (is that even possible in the internet world?). Thus he only knew Jagr from the KHL.

Anyway, I love this. It somewhat reminds me of the Howe/little Gretzky photo. I also like that if you search for it in young Kucherov's eyes, he is a little bit star-struck, but you can tell there's a healthy flash of swagger there. A hint of "yeah, he is just a human and so am I, and I am going that way!"

Here is President Obama walking to the podium before giving one of the most important speeches of his life, informing the world that the US had killed Osama Bin Laden.

Take a look at the person next to the TelePrompTer- yes, he is wearing a Washington Capitals jersey! Apparently that man had been at the Caps playoff game that night and got the call to come back to work.

I initially found out about this a couple years ago while watching a documentary. The image in that show was facing the President and it was clear that the man behind the TelePrompTer was wearing an Ovechkin jersey. I could’ve find that photo unfortunately but this one is pretty awesome too.

Believe he did that during training camp and exhibition season and then Pierre Larouche (who wore number 10 with the Rangers at the time originally) retired and requested that the number be given to Guy for his time there.

Correct, Lafleur never "officially" wore #44 for the Rangers.

We've seen the famous Forsberg shootout goal of the 1994 Olympics plenty of times on T.V. but I've never seen it from the angle of this photo:

hirsch-forsberg.jpg

On the regular feed it's always unclear to me if it's a goal or not, because you can't really see the puck move past the goal line, and as this photo shows it was really close. Hirsch's body language also wasn't obvious of a goalie just beaten. I thought he had the puck.
