The date of the photo was February 5, 1970. Don Awrey and Gerry Cheevers !

The caption for the second photo posted by Fenway says:

"Rangers vs Montreal at Madison Square Garden A generally peaceful Andy Bathgate got into a hassle with an old teammate, Dave Balon of the Canadiens in second period. This kept crowd on edge after first period free for all. Rangers scored popular victory."

That means we can date the photo to December 15, 1963.
