Moose Season Discussion

Just to highlight, Chibrikov has 16 points in his first 14 games in North America.

He is first on the Moose in goals, assists, and points with 7G9A in 14GP.
Chibrikov producing at a similar level in the AHL as Dylan Guenther who is a highly touted Coyotes 10th over draft pick from the same draft who put up ~.5 PPG in the NHL in 30 odd games.

Year after year the Moose just suck. Makes the games tough to attend but still fun to see our prospects

Lambert to Chibrikov for a gorgeous power play goal.

And then Lucius finds Bongiovanni, 3-1. Lucius has been pretty noticeable.

I didn't realize how cheap very good seats are for a Moose game.
Methinks the better half and I will be checking out a game before the new year.
We are going to the Minny game on the 30th and there is a Moose game on the 31st...I am too old to handle 2 days of sports drinking in a row???

If you are on the Moose mailing list there is a crazy cheap Black Friday deal that appears to still be on. $66 all in, for 2 tickets to 3 games including the Dec. 31 game. (Seats are 100 level behind the net, but for about $20 more you can sit near centre ice.)

Personally I only buy Moose tickets when they are on sale as the entertainment value is so-so. It feels like for every exciting Moose game I see, I have to sit through about three or four 5-1 loss snoozers.

Lucius is looking really good lately.

EDIT: @JetsFan815 mentioned it the other day, I'd love to see Jeff Malott get some games. He plays so smart and he's so effective at the AHL level. He doesn't have any real weaknesses to his game and never seems to make the wrong play. He'd never be a game changer but I think he'd be a good and effective 4th liner in the NHL. Plays a Dubois style of game and often shows surprisingly good vision.

It would really surprise me if Zhilkin didn't make the NHL in some capacity during his career. Smart, good skater, good hands, good defensively. Won't be a star but there are no big question marks to his game.

Lambert has had 3 or 4 golden opportunities. Unlucky to not have a point tonight. EDIT: and it was just announced that he got an assist on the 3rd goal.

Ford has been really disappointing so far this season. Had high hopes after the preseason he had but he's been on the first line all year and hasn't done much of anything with it.

I'm not the biggest Lundmark fan, but he's had some *really* nice stretch/outlet passes tonight.

Yeah I always wonder why Mallot is never in the mix to be up with the big club for injuries at the bottom of the roster and it's always AJF/Toninato. Mallot probably at worst is the same level as those guys and maybe a bit better.

I think the issue with Mallot is his lack of speed. Bowness likes his bottom line forwards to play a fast, pressure game.

Malott negates an icing and roofs a backhander, then next shift hounds the puck carrier, protects the puck beautifully, and picks up an assist.
