Belleville denies Milic of his first AHL shutout by scoring 2 goals in the final 3 minutes, but Moose win 3-2. Chaz Lucius first star.
I think lucius will make the nhl before lambert if he stays healthy and can get some games under his belt.

From what I'm reading in this thread, I'd guess Chibrikov beats them both.
That would be my choice, but I'd bet on Lucius as well. Lambert and Chibrikov make more risky plays overall and teams generally go the safer route.

So I got seats close to the Moose bench which happened to legitimately be the worst seats in the entire arena (half the ice was basically completely obstructed), so my already poor analysis skills were completely nullified. I did have a perfect view of Chibrikov's goal, though. Lambert's line got a shift late in the third defending the lead and spent the whole time in the offensive zone, which was nice to see.

I didn't even know Lucius got 2 assists. I did get to hear Lucius, Suess, and the Moose equipment manager get a good bit of heckling, though. It stayed more or less good natured though so it was honestly kind of just funny.

Milic had a good game and it was a shame to see the shutout spoiled late in the 3rd. Belleville got a few breaks behind the defence and he made the saves look easy.

A gutsy team win for the Moose who hold on for the 4-2 win over the Marlies:

They’ve won two of the three games they played in three straight days. Good bounce back game from Collin Delia who got pulled yesterday.

Manitoba now 6-7-0 on the season.

Tomorrow is a travel day as they head to Rockford. Next game is Wednesday.

If he played so much and did so well, why are we sending him back down?
He had a good start for sure, but overall sitting at a .877 save percentage. The Moose do not appear to be a very good team so I guess they are taking the approach of letting Milic dominate the ECHL for awhile before subjecting him to the Moose defense. Absolutely no reason to rush him along.

Goalies take time. The step up from junior/college to pro hockey for goalies is a tremendous step to take, nvm NHL.

Milic missed a year of playing time to COVID in juniors and is on the smaller side, so he will need quite a bit of development as a pro goalie. The ECHL baseline has developed many NHL goalies.
